“BEST WEDDING EVER!!! PERIOD!!!”
Reviewed November 30, 2011

Our son and new daughter-in-law were married in Coral Cove the beginning of November. We had the best group of people anyone could ask for!!! I cannot say enough about the service, the food, the frozen drinks, the view, the atmosphere, our rooms, sean, ritchie, maxine, red stripe, the music (outstanding), our day trips we took, the laughs, the quotes, the food, all the new friends we made, the wedding pictures & every one elses pictures, Eddie O & Appleton, the Hurrican Wall song and the wedding was so beautiful and more than we ever expected. We had never been here before but sure do hope to go back. On our way home, we stopped at one of the large resorts in Montego Bay and saw several weddings on the beach. None of them even compared to ours! We are sitting here in Pennsylvania and it is snowing right now & we sure wish we were sitting on a raft at Coral Cove!

Thank you for the kind words, everyone at the property, staff and guests seemed to feed off of one another's positive vibes. It was a truly remarkable week, and one of the greatest things to witness is when families meet for the first time and by the time they leave Coral Cove for their respective homes, they are parting with people that they have made room for in their hearts.
We look forward to your return one day.

Attended a destination wedding for my nephew at Coral Cove. It was the most perfect wedding ever! The wedding planner took care of everything and we had a beautiful wedding at sunset. Our whole family and friends filled the resort. Daily we were suprised with the most delicious food and amazing soups. We considered the staff family by the end of the week!
There was so much to do and yet nothing at all if that is what your looking for. They exceeded all our expectations and could not have been more accomodating. Coral Cove is a bargin in price for all you get! We look forward to seeing our Jamacian family again!!
Thanks for making our vacation/wedding one we will always have fond memories of!

I've said it many times before and I'll say it again, there really are not enough words to express our warm feelings and gratitude for Coral Cove and it's staff. We were recently married there with 24 of our family and friends in attendance and everyone had a most amazing time. If you want a true taste of the island and a very personal experience, Coral Cove will not disappoint!

I will preface my comments by saying, I am not much of a girly girl nor was I a bridezilla, I haven't been planning my wedding since birth, so it really wouldn't take to much to please us. We simply wanted a celebration and quality time with family and friends that would go beyond just a few short hours. That is what we got and so much more! The wedding itself was absolutely beautiful and so much fun! As huge lovers of music, especially reggae music, the reggae band, which felt like a private show just for us, was probably the highlight of our trip! We did not go all out with all the extra features simply because those things were not all that important to us. There is so much natural beauty at Coral Cove that we didn't want to interfere with that and we were not disappointed, the wedding really could not have been more breathtaking! And as much whining as I might have done about not wanting to pose for a million pictures, when it was all said and done, we have Richie to thank for some very beautiful memories captured on film.

And, of course, the food was amazing. Both at the wedding and throughout the week. The whole staff was really so accommodating. Scheduled meal times were not at all a problem for us, other than it was much more food than we are used to eating on a regular basis. We will be forever grateful for the Curried Conch, we waited two years to have that again, and it did not disappoint! Everyone at Coral Cove really goes above and beyond to make sure you have whatever you desire.

I really could go on forever about every little thing that made this trip amazing, but in the end, you just need to experience it for yourself. It is a fantastic place for weddings, romantic trips, or relaxing vacations. We are totally in love with Coral Cove and the surrounding community of Little Bay and we will definitely be back many times in the years to come!

One of the greatest compliments that our staff and a property can get is when guests that have stayed with us in the past, decide to return and bring family and friends along.
For the occasion to be as important as a wedding obviously is, we take pride in knowing you had many choices and you chose to put your faith in us.
I was unable to be onsite during your stay; however I was kept posted daily on the happenings. It has to be said that you had put everyone at ease from your arrival and you just let the magic unfold.
Many Thanks, Steve Z

From the time Richie picked us up at the airport until the time that we hugged the staff good-bye everything was heavenly! From the moment you arrive you are treated like one of the family . The food is delicious and there is plenty of it. The bartenders are great, right there when you need a drink, even bringing it to you on the beach. It was so much fun talking to the staff members and learning about their lives and families. Take the time to walk outside the gate, there is so much to see. But there is nothing as beautiful as waking up in the morning and seeing the sun on the water! We are busy planning our trip for next year, we can't wait to go back to our little piece of heaven.

It was nice that you ventured out into the village. The people of Jamaica are gracious and wonderful to get to know. The staff at Coral Cove are primarily all very local and when you visit the village you are visiting their homes, to which there is much pride taken. When you do return we all want you to feel like you are returning to your other home.
See you next year, Steve Z

Coral Cove is the place to relax and enjoy an authentic experience in Jamaica. The staff are friendly and willing to do what ever you need to make this a wonderful stay. We spent many moments chatting with staff members, learning about the country and Coral Cove. The food was excellent, a culinary Jamaican adventure each meal. The rooms were comfortable and met the needs of our group. Nothing better than the beautiful cove to relax beside or in the water. Any adventure could be arranged if there was interest to leave the beautiful grounds and relaxing cove.
Evenings were spent dining, relaxing, enjoying music and dancing. Our departure was only after receiving hugs from the staff!

Thank you for the review. Even though we do many wonderful weddings, Coral Cove is a perfect place for a vacation for all the same reasons that make it a great wedding destination. It's natural beauty and the beautiful cove soothes both the mind and the body. You can do as little or as much as you want to do. I too like the Dolphin room, and as well look forward to the genuine hugs from the staff. I will express your appreciation.

We got married at Coral Cove in October 2011 and if we had it to do all over again we would marry there again in an instant.

From beginning to end, Rouchelle Harvey and Maxine Salabie were absolute treasures in providing wedding planning assistance. Advice #1: Leave your expectations for "immediate response time" at the door. Do not get frustrated if you call and either (i) the phone rings with no pick up (i.e.: circuits in Jamaica tend to get busy and not allow for calls to go through) or (ii) you leave a message and it is not returned for 2 - 3 days (i.e.: Coral Cove may be a small venue but it is as busy as any one of those commercial big name hotels; only instead of having a team of 15-20 running only the wedding department Rouchelle and Maxine run EVERYTHING).

We chose Coral Cove because unlike other hotels in Jamaica we were not limited to a time slot for our wedding. So instead being confined to a 5:00 wedding slot with the 5:30 and 6:00 slots chomping at the bit to slide in once we were done we had the entire resort and the entire day for our group alone. We didn't have to worry about a random Speedo-clad tourist walking through a photo-op or a guest of the hotel walking in on our reception thinking it's just part of the all-inclusive dinner. Advice #2: Do not use the MC offered by the hotel. We were not aware that we were even going to be assigned an MC (we mistakenly thought either Rouchelle or Maxine would hold that post). The MC repeatedly mispronounced my husband's last name; she started off with an off-color joke; she snapped at my father when he asked to borrow her pen . . . I could go on but doing so will only stir up my ire.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, for the most part I have great things to say about each and every person at Coral Cove:

1. Rouchelle and Maxine: Absolutely lovely, amazing, attentive, patient and kind;

2. The chefs and their assistants: So incredibly accommodating; a night before they would ask us whether we had any special requests for the next day’s meal ( . . . I got to eat Ackee and Saltfish to my heart's content . . .) Advice #3: On 2 or 3 occasions we were relegated to cafeteria-style lunch lines for breakfast and dinner. The size of our group may have been a factor (. . . we had 53 people at our wedding and took over all but one of the rooms at Coral Cove. . . ). The food at our wedding reception was absolutely amazing (i.e.: after our tasting we originally were going to have the curry goat, snapper, jerk chicken and bak choy for our reception menu; we eventually switched to the lobster and steak for no other reason than ease . . . everything was absolutely delicious).

3. The bartenders: We would barely finish one cocktail before they would appear out of nowhere offering to bring us another. They even gave us personal tours to some of the local tourist attractions. You must, must, must go to the bat caves, the Blue Hole, the Mineral Spring, and the remains of Bob Marley's home.

Advice #4: Do not, I repeat DO NOT hire the dj offered by Coral Cove. We spent no less than 3 months leading up to the wedding coming up with a play list for the dj; I personally spoke with him no less than 5 times to go over the playlist and to discuss further suggestions for the reception music and on each occasion he assured me that he had and would play each and every one of the songs requested; he played maybe (emphasis on "maybe") 5 of the 100 plus songs we requested.

Advice #5: Definitely, I repeat DEFINITELY hire the steel drum band. We hired them to perform at our Welcome Party and they played the bridal processional music. They were an absolutely amazing and incredibly talented group of young men and women.

Advice #6: DEFINITELY hire the fire-eater to perform at whatever event you are having. He was amazing and really got the crowd excited.

I could write on and on about how much we absolutely loved Coral Cove and each and every one of the people. Once you get there you will appreciate that it is quiet and off the beaten path. By the end our guests were sad to leave and some were making arrangements for their next visit. We highly recommend it; [---]

Room Tip: Bring water shoes. The beach while beautiful and one in which we spent plenty of time playing water...

Thank you for the exceptional review of your wedding at Coral Cove. It looks like everything went well with the exception of the DJ. We do take full responsibility for every aspect of the reception. The DJ that we had used previously at Coral Cove was unable to make it and had sent in a substitute. As it turned out it was like substituting day for night. Unfortunately this was not a dress rehearsal, we could not get a do over..We have however put in measures to make sure it would never be re-enacted.
I am very pleased that the rest of your stay as well as your guests was above and beyond your expectations. We feel the wedding day is a day that should be dedicated fully to one couple, and not be necessarily structured around a ticking clock. While the schedule needs to take into consideration the setting sun:) It is still the brides decision when to take her first step.
We do look forward to the return of you and your guests.
Many Thanks, Steve Zindars

Coral Cove is the true Jamaica; the Jamaica of welcoming people with broad, warm smiles. Everyone is dedicated to making weary, far-traveled vacationers feel special from the moment of arrival and throughout their stay in this beautiful setting of tended gardens, secluded beach and beautiful snorkeling.

A turn to the left or right outside the front gate will take you on a short hike or a very bumpy bicycle ride through a typical, old Jamaican village of friendly people or, a little further, to one or other of two serene beaches, with native dugout fishing boats tied up on the sand.

Marla, a real Jamaican in her own right, offers a friendly, lovable canine addition, taking her duty of greeting new guests very seriously. The trouble is, she may take it into her head that going home at the end of the day with Maxine is a much better thing to do, no matter how much you plead with her to stay.

Each member of the staff is a genuinely welcoming host. From sunrise to sunset they take you under their wing: Bunny, the devoted grounds man, is already raking the beach as you open your curtains to face the early morning rising sun and watch the fishing boats bobbing on the waves. Elaine battled a near-hurricane wind that took everyone by surprise to bring us our lunch on a tray up the tight spiral staircase to our accommodation rather than allow us to brave the high winds on our own. Donald, the barman, wanted every thing to be just so, and David, the chef, carried his love of cooking to the level of “Haute Cuisine,” not to mention the courteous administrative staff like Maxine, Rouchelle and Soraya, and all the other staff members who went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable --- and it was, a hard thing to do since we have been to Jamaica over twenty times during the last three decades.

Especially relaxing is to take a before-dinner drink while you sit and watch the sun go down in a spectacular array of colors as the Brown Pelicans, Magnificent Frigate Birds and Little Blue Herons make their way back to their rousting grounds. You may even catch a school of dolphins passing by as they frolic in the aquamarine water.

Coral Cove is no typical resort or set of villas, it has its own unique flavor. Many excursions are offered to explore the island. You may wish to immerse your soul and body, like we did, into paradise.

Your having visited Jamaica over twenty time's, your review carries with it a seasoned credibility that can only come with having visited many locations over a twenty trip span. Thank you for the observations and descriptions.. you paint a beautiful picture. And thank you for returning a second time within a few months of your first trip.
We have built 2 cottages since you were at Coral Cove..both precious and private, I think one of them has your name on it:)
