This place was a little difficult to find but well worth the effort. Our guide explained the types and habits of the many birds in the sanctuary. A good way for a family to spend the morning.

For a very reasonable $10 you get a gently-guided stroll through the bird enclosure (where all manner of clearly happy parrots and other birds will perch of their own accord on your seed pot, finger, shoulder and head, if you want them to) and a lovely little museum of local objects and historical photographs. Staff and owner are genial and knowledgeable.

This is a wonderful experience you don't want to pass up. The birds are gorgeous and clearly well cared for. The owner is delightful and a wealth of local information. In addition to the birds there is a small museum included in your visit featuring family heirlooms as well as local history.

We happen to love animals including birds, so this was a real treat for us. It is owned and run by a wonderful gentleman who knows all of these birds very well. He is living his dream by running this sanctuary. He gives you a cup of food and the birds fly right up to you to eat and interact. Their varieties are beautiful! At $10 per person, this was worth every penny. Cash only. If you like exotic birds, you will enjoy your visit! And you are supporting a local businessman with a dream!

We had such an incredible time there and the birds were simply amazing. The host was friendly and was very detailed in explaining the different types of birds present. What’s more is that there is a mini museum on the outside which just puts it over the top with fun and culture! Would definitely recommend to visit and would definitely visit again!
