We always look for new restaurants when we visit St. Maarten, and we hoped this could become one of our favorites. It's pretentious (for St. Maarten) and pricey. We waited an inordinate amount of time for our order to arrive, sitting in a very smokey corner of the room in the 'burger bar', since you can only order burgers in this part of the restaurant - the remainder is a very pricey Grill Room. When it did finally come, my Kobe burger was not as ordered (more rare than the requested medium), and it was subsequently sent back 3X, for not cooked enough, not hot enough. The other diners at our table also endured eating food that was cold. The manger did the right thing upon my complaint and took the burger off our bill, plus an additional 10% off, but it was only after our complaints and the folks at the table next to us who were also waiting a long time, did he go in to the kitchen to see what was causing the delays in getting food out. If the wait staff is so overwhelmed, as our nice waitress appeared to be serving many tables, the restaurant needs runners to get the food out while still hot. I doubt if we will return next year.
