We arrived at Belasco after having visited two fine wineries in Mendoza, and after tasting delicious wine were ready for a good meal. We got a great wine. Five course meal, with wine pairings. The wine may not be the best of Mendoza, but the overall lunch experience and flavors definitely were. Combined with the service and the visit to the scent room prior (blind smelling of 50 scents found in wine) made for a great afternoon.

Perhaps the finest lunch I've ever had! Five courses, each paired with a wine from the bodega Belasco de Baquedano - superb. Magnificent location: vineyards as far as the eye can see, except to the West, where one sees the snow-capped Andes.

Beautiful winery. It's the only winery with a scent room to help you train your nose to recognize what's infused in the wines. However, they only make Malbec, and the food was a little bland. If you're in the area, go to the scent room, but don't eat.

This is a beautiful winery with one of the coolest winery features I've ever seen - a huge room filled with 50+ smelling stations. This is designed to help you pick out smells (both good and bad) found in wine. It was presented nicely and quite educational. Too often I've found that expensive wineries often mean fair wines. I found this to be the case here too. Still, well worth the visit. We didn't eat at the restaurant though.

The visit in the bodega is very interesting, giving insights into the modern production of very fine wines. The Aromas (scents) room where you can try to guess all the odours is very, very nice and a good break for the kidds.
The best part is then climbing the stairs to enter the dinning room, overlooking the vineyard and with the Andes in the far - an amazing look. Because the room cannot seat more than 30 people, the lunch is quite and the service is paced enough. The 4 courses menu accompanied by the locally produced wine is highly recommended. the wines are good, all Malbec, without being outstanding. definitely worth a visit!
