It used to make wonderful pork and apple and steak and Stilton pasties in the old days. Maybe not authentic but I loved them.
Just another pasty and sandwich shop now. Might as well go to the bakers across the road or Warrens on the bridge.

Aunty May's is very nice ! The food is great and that paradise slice is amazing. The only thing i can fault is when they prepare the food they do not wear any gloves. They go by order to order without washing their hands. And when handing money they don't wash their hands either.

Good selection of sandwiches and salads to take away. Very handy if you need to get food en route to the beach

Aunty May's sells the best pastys in town by a long, long way. I always go for the cheese and veg which is generously sized and well-seasoned. My husband normally goes for 'The Hungryman' which, as the name suggests, is a rather large traditional steak pasty.
Aunty May's doesn't seem to suffer from 'summer meat rations' as lots of the other local places do.
Get there early as they tend to sell out fast, although if this does happen they do a great range of sandwiches and baguettes.
