There are far better places to go to at the coast. The view is average at best. Still, there are a lot of tourists (coaches) and there are shops / restaurants / entertainments facilities around to cater for the tourists.
If you want a beautiful view of the Cornish coast, try for instance Godfrey ort Porthcurro. Much better view and the places are not a tourist trap.

Was surprised with the £6 parking fee but then most places in cornwall charge that much for just 4hrs anyway. Agree with what most people say, the design of the place could have been better but hey ho, thats what you get for now. The view though is amazing. The price for the lands end signage is around £12 for 2 7x5 photos. Bring cash as they dont accept cards. The family running it were very friendly and approachable. My husband was impressed with their service. I dont understand people who whinge about the cost. If you dont want to pay, then dont get one. Simple as that. Plus theyve been around for decades so this isnt a new thing.

The views are stunning from lands end. The whole thing has become rather pricy! Luckily not too bad to park - £6. The food was all very expensive in the restaurant and not much better elsewhere. If you want a picture next to the sign you will have to pay for this too!

As others have said the car park is £6 for however long you visit and allows you return within a week, could this be cheaper yes, is it extortionate no. The sign itself is behind a rope and need to pay for professional photo to have it personalised, but if get there very early can get photo before crowds come in and tick it off that way. Walks are beautiful but are a bit hilly so not good for people with limited mobility, although area to the First and Last gift shop is well covered and can be done in a mobility scooter.
There are attractions there but all at an extra cost so we didn't go into them.

We decided to drive down from Devon whilst on holiday , I wanted a photograph done with the sign post , I had no objections to the £6 carpark fees because it looks after the paths so they say , they must mean around the cliffs because around the car park they weren’t that clever , the views are amazing nothing can take that away , but yes like every one else , to have to pay for a photographs is a rip off to tourists it’s all very tacky .. even the famous lass Vegas sign you don’t pay .. take the barriers down and leave a donation box ,tidy the whole area around enough Signs to say Danger Cliff edge , please tidy it .. I only wish National Trust won the bid to purchase it .. very disappointed, didn’t use the shops typical see side shops and amusement.. will never visit again
