Owner description: The beautiful scenery of Land's End has made it one of Britain's favourite destinations for days out. Located at the westernmost point of Cornwall, you can appreciate fully how the relationship between land and sea is constantly changing.Parking your car is the only thing you have to pay for, and you can then walk the clifftops to see how Cornwall changes from season to season, or contemplate the thousands of miles of the Atlantic Ocean which begin at the First and Last Point. No visit is complete without having your picture taken at the famous land's end signpost. Then do a spot of souvenir shopping at the West Country Shopping Village, before taking time out to relax in the Land's End Bar and Restaurant. When it comes to finding things to do in Cornwall, the very tip of the county makes a great starting point for discovering all the places to visit.

We planned to eat lunch and spend some time here, so I didn't mind the paying for parking. The rest of it was "free", as long as you didn't want to do something. (It's advertised as "free", but there are quite a few paying attractions for it to be "free".) The price to get your picture taken in front of the sign post is quite exorbitant. We tried to get someone to take ours by the fence, with it behind us, but they posted "Kathmandu" on the sign to quick. We're certainly not from Kathmandu, but oh well. We visited, and know we did it.

It was fun to walk along some of the costal path there in Land's End. And people-watching is always fun at a place filled with nothing but tourists. :)

I'll agree with some of the other posters however, that many of the spots along the roadway have just as good views as Land's End. Regardless, it was cool to say we went, had a picnic, took some pictures, and moved along. Attraction-wise, I'd suggest you follow our lead: come, see, eat, and leave. Not much else to do.

BTW, a zoom lens came in quite handy here, for getting pretty good pictures of the outlying islands!

Land's End is a beautiful place but sympathies go to families as it will cost you a fortune. Not for the infirm as the walk to the First and Last House is steep and uneven. The views are worth the trip but I would suggest taking a picnic/packed lunch as the food outlets are expensive.

Generally lands end is a rip off, it is £5 to park your car and the food is extremely expensive. The attractions in the park are way too expensive for what they are and to get your photo taken by the sign is very expensive. But the scenery is beautiful and we would advise you to park at sennen cove and take the costal path to lands end to avoid the extremely high car parking charges and you can take in the amazing scenery.

You have to pay a fiver to park - spend ten minutes wandering around an overpriced, completely irrelevant and boring collection of "attractions" and gift shops.

Please; tell me how Knights have any link to land's end ... even though Brian Blessed does give me a giggling fit when I hear him talking. ( I did not pay to go in, the price was extortionate!)

Well... Multiple places to buy a pasty (not even proper ones I am informed by a Cornish colleague), overpriced Ice Creams, a booth CHARGING (ten pounds being the cheapest option) to have your picture taken next to the sign post, bad display boards (no interesting information), the smallest (7 houses I think) miniature village ever (pun not intended), and a distinct lack of interest, whoever is "running" the "Park" is merely extorting money to say you have been to Land's End. Home run for monopolising capitalists :D

You have to go ... to say you have been, this can not be denied.... and the scenery is truly beautiful, as is most of the coast in Cornwall, but would I go again? Not unless we had visitors who wanted to go, and we would take a picnic!

beautiful place, well worth a visit, lovely scenery, nice little shops etc. the cost of having your photo taken in front of the famous lands end sign ( which they send to you) is horrendous at. £9.95, then you have to wait 28 days for it to arrive, however you can take your own pics, but cannot be in front of the sign as it is chained off for paying customers.
