A great tranquil site in beautiful countryside. The owners couldnt be more helpful. Brilliant food. Will be returning again. The site is ideally situated for access to many great beaches and lovely walks. The wide range of plants and flowers is very spectacular. This site is well worth a visit you will not be dissappointed.

We stayed here for a weekend in June. It's a lovely campsite with generous, flat pitches. The on site cafe is great and all the staff are very friendly. The showers (bathrooms!) are hot and powerful and we never had to queue although with only two I'm sure queuing might be an issue in the summer.

Our one grumble with this site was dog poo and the reason I almost gave the site a 3. We have a small child and no dogs so perhaps we're more picky than some about dog poo. However after walking past four piles of it, albeit not 'fresh', on the way to the loo from our tent I think it's a reasonable grumble. The owner exercised his three dogs in the main camping area and although he did his best to clean up the poo this meant flinging them into the nearest hedge. Perhaps this only happens at quiet times of year, as it was when we were there. Nevertheless it's the reason we probably won't return.

But if you're happy with dogs and their associated ablutions then this campsite is otherwise wonderful. We will certainly pop back for a cream tea one day.

We popped in for breakfast at The Almond Tree Cafe at Little Trethvas last week on the last day of our holiday on the Lizard, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome from Mike the owner and had a great chat with Tim the chef about life and everything! The breakfast was delicious breakfast (particularly loved the stuffing!). Our 2 year old son was kept happy playing with the box of toys provided and we only wished we'd hadn't left it to the last day as they do evening meals too. The campsite looks gorgeous too so maybe we'll be back to stay one year!

Little Threthvas is an island of peace just a few kms away from the Lizard which itself is a little crowded and hectic. Owners Mike and Liz make you feel at home right away. The facilities are absolutely wonderful. The showers are 5 star, a whole bathroom for yourself. We had two days of bliss at Little Trethvas!

Thanks again,

A nice place to spend lunchtime in the Almond Café, the hosts are very kind and friendly...we've had a nice talk with them. Tea and sandwich were delicious and the atmosphere in the garden was peaceful and stunning!

Stayed on this site for a couple of nights with my wife in our Caravan, I must say this is a little gem of a site, perfect if you want a nice clean, quiet and friendly stay...

The owners of the site Liz and Mike were very welcoming and obviously enjoy what they do as they very friendly people and make you feel comfortable straight away.
The site is not huge and has 3 toilet blocks with showers but were very clean and the showers were lovely and warm, no complaints at all....

I would therefore recommend this site HIGHLY as it is in a great location close to the centre of the Lizard peninsula and only about 2 miles from Lizards point....
I will certainly return to this site when I want to Camp or Caravan in the area again!

10/10 to Liz and Mike...Many thanks!

I camped here with a group of young people doing their Duke of Edinburgh training. The site is clean and tidy with excellent toilets and showers :). The kids enjoyed it as it was very peacefull for them and they could chill out. BUT the breakfast at the Almond Tree Cafe ooooohhh! WOW you must have the Special Bacon sandwich, of which Tim the amazing chef has created --- it is lush uuummmm.
I was so impressed that I have been back for an evening meal with my partner - and again my taste buds were tormented by delicious food especially the Paradise on a Plate dessert and the hot chocolate fudge cake uuuuummmm!
All the food is home cooked and sourced locally.
The camp site has an air of peacefullness which the owners Mike and Liz have nurtured.
Well worth a visit to the cafe but please stay for a total chill out.
Thank you
