“Beautiful view”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

Breath taking view from the cliffs above the sands. The sun reflecting off the water was magical. A lovely beach to walk the dogs in the winter, go for a walk or in the summer to sit and relax.

“Beautiful Beach”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Lovely sandy beach and very scenic. Two good cafes/gift shops.
Parking a bit difficult and expensive out of season.

“Superb beach in a little-known corner of the Lizard”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

I had the pleasure of spending a couple of hours at Kennack during one of the few dry and sunny days this summer. I had been exploring the Lizard by car and decided that a rest was in order and maybe a swim if the water wasn't too cold.

Kennack lays just to the northeast of Cadgwith and the Devil's Frying Pan, close to the village of Kuggar and is approached by some very narrow lanes. The beach is actually in two sections divided by a hill, and has some excellent rock pools at low tide. The sand is clean and yellow and the beach is usually fairly well sheltered due to it's east facing location. Even on this July day, there were few people here although to be fair, the day had started out as being wet and they may have made other plans.

The beach has a cafe and toilets and if you have a pooch in tow, the far side of the beach is OK for them. There are lifeguards on duty at most times and I did manage a quick swim, although the water was rather chilly.

Kennack isn't especially well-known compared to many beaches in the area, but the diversion down to the Lizard is well-worth the effort.

“Excellent beach”
Reviewed September 11, 2012

Two great family beaches divided by a hill, the first with cafe/shops for your icecreams, drinks, pasties etc With the added bonus of a life guard station overlooking the beach. If the beach is not your thing then theres plenty of exploring in the hills and cliffs with WW2 pill boxes scattered along the coast. The usual narrow country lanes are used to access the beach which can be quite busy but worth it when you get there.

“Lovely family beach”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

Lovely family beach, good for body boarding for the kids. Two nice beach cafes and public toilets. Road down to the beach can be busy and is single track most of the way but worth it.
