Stopped for a quick drink - a well kept couple of pints of Tribute and a Crab sandwich with chips which although a little expensive was very tasty and served quickly. Both bar and waiting staff were very friendly on a sunny Thursday. Will definitely be back to sample more from the menu as dinners around us seemed to be enjoying there meals.

Cadgwith has always been a very favourite place where we have enjoyed so many precious memories in the past but alas due to injuries and major surgery I have been unable to negotiate the walk from the village car park for the last three year. However on a lovely June evening we decided not to be beaten and somewhat exhausted arrived at the Cadgwith Cove Inn looking forward to a pint (or two) and a delicious meal just like those we had enjoyed so much in years past.
But Oh dear!!
The welcome from the licensee and bar staff was warm and friendly, the beer was first class….we had great expectations but there it ended.

Perhaps we arrived on a bad day or was it the Chefs night off? who ever attempted to produce the food demonstrated little culinary skill. The seafood Chowder was very tasty served with a very nice bread roll, but with just a few mussels included, surely it is not difficult to spot and unopened one……this chef did, a cardinal sin in any chef’s book!
There is no County in the UK able to produce such superb baby new potatoes as Cornwall does and here we were in the prime of the season expecting the best…..sadly what was served were so overcooked that they were a soggy pulp just held together by the skin……
My wife opted for the Sunday roast and whilst the lamb was first class, the veg was so very overcooked and the gravy contained so much salt that the meal was ruined, she couldn’t eat it. No apology from the licensee, that was left to the young waiter who was clearly embarrassed when he told her that she would only be charged a child’s portion.
We eat out most days during our two weeks in Cornwall, this was, we are sorry to say was without doubt the most disappointing.

this was a fantastic find for us whilst staying in cornwall during half term; such a warm welcome from the Manager and very accomodating with 2 young children. delicious fresh seafood from the Cadgwith Cove fishing boats (especially Bob Winnie); amazing cheese plate and reasonable prices for very freshly cooked food. we will be back to stay in this lovely Inn next time we visit Cornwall. don't miss out on this beautifully located Inn and the great menu.

We visited this pub as we always have done over the last few years when we stay in Cadgwith.
The new owners have really upped the game regarding the food, hospitality and overall service in this charming pub. We ate their every night for 1 week and always received a 1st class service. Every meal was just perfect and prompt. The fish dishes were excellent and the 'Cadgwith Cove burger' was out of this world. Now, i've tried a lot of burgers, the best being the 'Hickery Burger' at The Hard Rock Cafe but the 'Cadgwith Cove' burger wins hands down, absolutely gorgeous!
