We visited this restaurant last night on spec having been given a recommendation. The restaurant was bustling with most of the tables taken with couples, families and business people.. The fillet steaks were a decent size, well cooked and flavoursome. The bruschetta and tomato salads were dreadful. The tomatoes were hard and tasteless and should not have been served. I had hoped that an Italian restaurant would know a thing or two about how to serve tomatoes, if my Italian had been up to it I would have sent them back!

I was served a good sized portion of apple torte though it was a little dry for my taste.

The glass of house red wine was OK considering the price.

A little bit crowded, but a must just off the motorway Milan-Rome, 1 hour driving from Rome.
Very good fiorentina with real barbecue taste, amazing stuffed potatoes. Average primi (pasta).
Quick service, highly recommended.

Tis is probably unusual but this is our second visit to this restaurant. We read a poor review from a Canadian traveller and thought, we should revisit to see if it had slipped. But no, it is as it was last year. Still busy at lunchtime, we were greeted by the same waitress who was busy, efficient and friendly. My wife, as those of you who have read my reviews will know, is a wheelchair user and she couldn't fit under the table, but the waiter spotted it immediately and moved some tables around and found us a table that worked for her....no fuss at all. We had some American friends with us and we all sat down to a lovely lunch, our waitress couldn't speak any English and our Italian is poor but we managed to convey what we wanted. The food standard was as good as before, the steak I ordered was good and we had a lovely time. This is a very good place for lunch. Bruschetta to start with a mixed salad, some pasta for seconds and a whopping piece of steak to finish me off. Great house wine to drink. The place is buzzing and busy, don't mistake busy and efficient for rude, these folk know what they're doing....ENJOY.

Stopped by for lunch, didn't book but got a great welcome. Quite informal, though the staff all wear a white uniform and rush about. There's a set lunch for 20 Euros with 5 different menu choices, 3 courses without wine. we went for A la carte and had a half litre of house wine. Bruschetta to start,- lovely, fresh and tasty, quite a decent portion too. the a fresh pasta first course. The pasta was fresh a cooked perfectly. Then I went a bit mad and had a fillet of beef cooked on a big open barbeque in a big open fire. It came exactly as ordered and was delicious and the size of it! Wow, this was a bloody decent steak. Highly recommended if you like your steak. There were massive T bones too and lamb. All cooked to order. by the time we had got to secundi the place was mobbed - on a Monday lunchtime? Amazing. Apparently it's mid-way between Firenze and Roma on the A1 and so all kind of folks stop there for lunch. Including film and TV stars, just have to keep your eyes peeled. all in all a thoroghly decent lunch, well worth pulling off the A1. Lunch for 2 with wine 66 euros.
