Looking for something a bit different when visiting with 2 Italian friends from Rome, we were hoping that this would deliver.
Although a hot summers evening, sitting inside was comfortable, and the menu was refreshingly different from those of most Umbrian eateries we are used to, whilst still maintaining local ingredients and a sense of the land. Truffles featured widely, and there were choices that catered for four people with various food allergies and dietary restrictions without having to ask for adjustments.
We found the english version of the menu more confusing than helpful, although having read other reviews included the eggplant mouse and 'scrambled eggs' in our choices. I'd suggest that the Italian menu makes far more sense, even with the barest smattering of culinary Italian knowledge! We were all totally satisfied with our choices, and will certainly return.
The service and atmosphere was great - a little tricky to find, but well worth it!
