I agree with the other reviews. Zemkamps Chalet is a very charming and beautiful chalet located at Jordan, Guimaras. We initially had trouble finding it as the driver of the jeepney we rode from Ortiz Port forgot to drop us off at the exact place. Good thing he was nice enough to turn around and bring us there.

When we got to there, we realized why we failed to find the place ourselves--The sign, while directly in front of the chalet, was too small for a first-time visitors like us to see. But that's just a teeny-tiny quibble.

When we got there, we realized that the internet pictures weren't lying. Zemkamps Chalet really is a beautiful place. Very pretty, very clean, and very...pink! All the rooms at the time had pink curtains and pink bed sheets. Sweet.

Service was great too. All staff members were pleasant, smiley and always ready to help.

Zemkamps Chalet doesn't serve food, though, but it has a dining room where you can eat. What you just need to do is to tell the front desk staff that you're ordering food, and they'll give the restaurant across it a call. A few minutes later, your food will be delivered to you.

If you want to book a room here, though, you better give them a call since contacting them through their website won't give you a response.

Although it's not very near the beach, the location is pretty good, especially if you want to go around Guimaras. The nearest tourist spot is the Trappist Monastery, where monks selling goodies like jams and biscuits made from fruits live. When you get out, just hail a tricycle and tell which places you want to go to---and don't forget to haggle and negotiate for a fair price.

In sum, Zemkamps Chalet is a good place to stay. It's clean, it's beautiful, public transportation is accessible and service is very good.

Zemkamps is about 20 minutes by pedicab from the pier. It is within walking distance from a local market. The hotel itself does not have a restaurant but there is a local eatery in front of the hotel. You can order your food from the eatery and they will gladly deliver the food at the hotel's restaurant.
The staffs were quite helpful. Since we were the first guests to arrive for the day, they asked us to choose which room we wanted to use. Great !
The toilet was clean and the air conditioner was quite strong!

Just like home -clean, cozy and courteous smiling staffs.
The staff treat us like a family guest.
After a tiring day.... a hot/cold shower, A/C room & cable TV.
A free coffee, tea and WiFi access is another bonus.
Food is serviced by a caterer - delivered on request, room service if you prefer.
