The restaurant is located just outside of the Lutsk castle. Interior is designed in medieval style. There is nice outdoor sitting area.
We stopped here for coffee break after a walk in the old castle. They have very creative desserts selection. I had parfait with honey and nuts, and my husband had fried ice cream. Both desserts were dilightful. Prices are regular.Recommended!

Very goog quality of the local specialities. Excellent service. Very clean. Reasonable prices - I paid for two soups + salad + hot starter - + tea and coffee 200 hrivna - in next to door Poland for this money you will get a Mc Donalds for 2.
Next time I will stop there again.

I have spent many an evenings in this restaurant, normally for business dinners as it’s a terrific place to bring our customers.
Situated in front of Lyubart’s) Castle, the location is a delight and the terrace is a very nice place to while away a summer’s evening in the company of friends or colleagues.
Inside is also charming, with the medieval style fitting well with the external environment. The main area is a large open room, which has a second floor ‘balcony’ overlooking it. There are also a couple of side rooms which can be booked for additional privacy.
The menu is generally simple food but I have never had a bad meal here and, given the prices, is excellent value for money. The menu is available in English and German as well as Ukrainian (a few odd translations, but that’s par for the course!). Though I’m surprised by the lack of English for a tourist location, the service is also very good with the staff more than willing to help and work through any difficulties with a smile on their face.
The restaurant is well frequented for banquets and, if you are present during one of them, it can get extremely noisy. This, perhaps, provides the main downside on certain occasions – or it could be the prelude to a great evening. How this affects you may rather be determined by your company. Need privacy, could be an issue. Don’t need – try to join in the party instead. The locals here are fantastically open to it.
All in all, recommended that anyone visiting Lutsk should not miss out on the chance to eat here.

The Vytautas (Vitovt’s) Crown has been my favourite Lutsk restaurant since I first came here, and it remains my top pick when I’m in the city.

There’s no missing it, if you are in Lutsk for sightseeing. It’s situated right in front of the entrance to the Upper (Lyubart’s) Castle and offers incredible views over this top Lutsk attraction.

This is not a pure touristy spot, but equally popular with the locals, and is often fully booked for the banquets and special events. So better call in advance to make sure they are open.

There are several halls, both smoking and non-smoking, and you can choose between staying on the ground floor or walking up to the balcony. In summer, they also open an outdoor terrace.

The interior refers to the medieval castle, and the medieval theme used to be dominating – in the recipes, even in the music. This time, the background music was modern, but not irritating. The locals tend to dress up when visiting this restaurant, but the tourists in jeans don’t seem to be frowned upon.

The menu is quite extensive, with several specialties. But wine and bar list is modest.

We started with Tartare steak [ca USD 4], which should be finely chopped raw beef, with raw egg and onion. The meat looked like machine-minced rather than hand-chopped, yet tasted delicious. Coming next, Salmon and Spinach soup-puree (500ml, but you can order half serving, USD 3] was rich and very tasty.

For the main course, I chose Rabbit knuckle stewed in sour-cream [USD 7.6] with buckwheat [USD 1.6] as a side dish. Rabbit was perfectly cooked – tender and juicy, with delicious mushroom sauce, while the buckwheat was a bit dry. Veal medallions in cherry sauce [USD 7] ordered by my dining companion were excellent.

For the dessert, we had my favourite Chocolate pancakes with cherries and cream [USD 2.6].

Don’t have much to say about service – everything was perfect. The waitress was ready to provide recommendations, if needed, and was fast and attentive.

Although by Lutsk standards it’s considered a high-end restaurant, compared to Kyiv it was like eating out for free. The bill for two, inclusive of spirits (wine and brandy) and drinks (juices, coffee), came at about USD 48; great value for such quality.

This restaurant is an excellent place to enjoy fine local food at reasonable price with terrific view over the Lutsk Castle; highly recommended.
