It all started with the reservation. The website looks very attractive, so we decided to stay at the Schuetzenhof. Making a reservation by phone was almost impossible as noone picked up the phone. After a couple of days I got through.
Check-in was a hard test. The hotel is connected to a restaurant and that is where the reception is located. It took more than 10 minutes to pursuade someone from the restaurant staff to act a the receptionist and hand me the key. No formal registation form or anything.
The room as on the highed floor- pretty much the converted attic. The room was okay, but slightly on the run-down side. Sleep was okay, even though the summer heat made the room very warm.
Breakfast was way below average. The orange juice had an orange color, but absolutely no taste. Not even sweet. Disappointing.
Check-out took a while especially as the card reader for credit cards would not connect to the system. So, only cash was possible. I had to walk to an nearby ATM.
As chaotic as they were, it would not have been a problem to walk out without paying. They would not have noticed.
Conclusion: Avoid this hotel !!! The website give a nice impression, but that is it.
