The Milenio offers a comfortable stay with a good restaurant. Since I last stayed here a year ago, they have gotten stingier with the internet. It is offered for free in the lobby only from 7:30pm until 7am. You can buy vouchers to use internet in your room, but the routers are weak. I have to sit on the floor in front of my door to pick it up at all. Internet is not great in a lot of hotels in Mozambique though. Overall, it is a decent value and I'll return again just as I have this time.

One word of caution: the water in my shower came out scalding hot if I turned the faucet anywhere past the mid point between hot and cold. Be careful.

Room Tip: Avoid odd number rooms, if you can. They are small and have small windows. For the same price, you c...

I have visited this hotel several times. The last stay was when I traveled to work in November 2011. The hotel is large, has large suites with modern décor and a TV, aircondition, internet access, a small fridge and tea and coffee. The breakfast is good and varied. Room service works well. The guests care at the reception may improve. The new part of the hotel is excellent. The hotel should consider purchasing a generator because there are constant power cuts in the city and it is impossible to be without aircondition in the hotel, especially on hot and high humidity days.

I stayed over at the hotel during the 4 to 9 March 2013. The initial room's airconditioner was noisy and the second day I moved to room on the swimming pool side. The first room had a view into somebody's back scrap yard and the second room had a better view over the pool and gardens. The second room had a nice balcony from which the hussle and bustle of the street could be seen. The 1 day I was fortunate to had a good view from my balcony of a street march/carnaval going past. The swimming pool is very well maintained and very comfortable pool deck chairs are provided. The hotel also have a well equipped gymnasium in the basement. The breakfast from the restaurant is below average but the dinner is nice. The menu has a good selection although the same dessert was served for three nights in a row. The rooms is spacious and all ameneties are provided. Room serve is good. The interioir of the hotel is very tastefully decorated and with a sense of luxury. Internet is availalbe at an additional cost. The coffee shop's samossas was very nice and I recommend it as the third best samoosas I ever ate. The best was in Zanzibar and the second best at Dar Es Salaam airport.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the swimming pool side. Second floor was good for a view over the street.

Nice hotel especially the new wing. Clean and spacious. Pety the wifi is not from the hotel . The restaurant is nice and not expensive. <bar closes early and no alchool, but no problem. For Mozambique standard is a nice place.

Nice hotel, very clean. Restaurant was a tad pricey but the curries were very good imo. There was a good breakfast which came with the price of the room. The cafe just outside the main restaurant was significantly cheaper and had decent samosas and sandwiches. No beer is a big drawback for Mozambique, which has some great beers. Apparently the owner is Muslim which is the reason for no beer. We ran into this in a number of restaurants outside of Nampula as well. Restaurants which used to serve beer no longer do, at least according to my translator. The wifi was a disappointment - all kinds of excuses and no good answers. Apparently available only in the lobby area sometimes at night and possibly in rooms near the lobby - though my room was in the new wing and I never could get it there. There did appear to be subscription wifi available in the area of the restaurant. Maybe it would be worth it to subscribe if you were going to be there for a while. Lots of interesting people coming and going - I even saw a big wedding party in the lobby one evening. If you don't mind getting down and dirty there was a hole in the wall bar just up the street from the hotel (left out of the front door and about half a block up the street - tucked back in so you have to look for it) Beer by the glass was very cheap and there was fairly good cheap food also though the service was a bit sketchy. If you get sick easily you might not want to eat there though I had no problem.

The hotel is very clean, the rooms are well kept. In the new section, the rooms are quite spacious. The plumbing is not 100%. (You'll probably have water, but not always hot.) Strange smell coming from the drains, or somewhere. AC works and is cold. The outlets are not where you would put them if you planned on using your laptop at the little desks in the room. Restaurant clean and (too) well lit. Food is consistently good but alcohol is not served in the restaurant. At the time I was there the pool was a bit green.
The staff were very professional, and this hotel gives good value for money.

I read other reviews and to be honest, I am surpirsed, my experience was very positive, staff was very friendly and helpful, the room big and nicely furnished, also the food in the restaurant had a very good quality. I stayed only for 2 nights but would love to go back and enjoy it more.
