Ideal location, walking distance from station, two pubs and Pen Y Ghent cafe, Next door to a tea room, with plenty of off road parking. Beautiful spacious cottage and stunning gardens with stunning unspoilt views across to Pen Y Ghent. We used it as a base for 3 Peaks Challenge and it was ideal. Comfortable and homely with everything you need, including wi-fi. We will definitely come back again. Thank you Heather.
We stayed at Blind Beck cottage to walk the Three Peaks. The owners met us upon arrival, which was a lovely touch. Heather had left fresh milk in a jug and some home made ginger biscuits for us. What a welcome! The cottage is delightful. Spacious and spotlessly clean. All bedrooms were a good size. Having a bathroom and a downstairs shower room/ toilet was very useful particularly as we were in the garden all day Sunday. The location is idyllic with fantastic views including of Pen Y Ghent. Not too far from the 2 village pubs and less than 5 minutes to the railway station . Throughout the weekend we saw the owners as they live and run a tea room from next door. They couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. We enjoyed Great breakfasts and cakes from the tea room at very reasonable prices which meant less cooking for me. They helped us with our BBQ and waved us off when we left. We will definitely be back. Our only disappointment was that the cottage is pretty much booked up now until October so we can't get back this summer.
This is a lovely cottage with beautiful views. Clean, homely, modern facilities including WiFi. We were made to feel very welcome.
A very warm welcome awaited us from the owners, who had kindly laid on some homemade biscuits and a jug of milk for us travel-weary tourists. Parking was easy with the option of immediately outside the cottage itself or just across the road in the spacious tearoom car park. The cottage itself had some wonderful views and was only a short walk to the foot of Pen-Y-Ghent for the start of the 3 Peaks Challenge. It was well equipped with a nice, peaceful garden in which to sit on a warm summer evening. The decor, fixture and fittings were well suited to the quaint, stone cottage and added to it's character and appeal. Should you wish to eat out, there are a couple of places further in to the village where meals could be purchased, however we didn't find this necessary. We would definitely stay again!
If you are looking for a holiday cottage both for couples or families look no further. Blind Beck Holiday Cottage is fantastically positioned within 5 min walk from the train station and with easy access both on road and foot to Horton in Ribblesdale and surrounding countryside. The accommodation has a lovely family house character and the couple that runs it are friendly, efficient and helpful. I never felt so welcomed before, it was like meeting a long lost relative who was delighted to have us and kindly helped us during our stay. We did some fantastic hiking going up first Ingleborough and then Pen-y-ghent in the same day. it was lovely coming back from a busy day to the lovely atmosphere of the cottage. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay! We will visit again!
Blind Beck is a lovely traditional cottage with old world charm and everything you need, on the Y3P path and an easy walk to Horton's pub and rail station.
Fantastic views of Pen-y-Ghent.
Heather is charming and welcoming.
I hope to stay longer next time!
