“Magnificent Chateau”
Reviewed November 17, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We spent two magnificent weeks at Chateau Puissentut in the summer. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts who went out of their way to be helpful and the holiday was everything we could have wished for. We were a large family party of 20+ of mixed ages ranging from 18 months to 80 (ish!).There was plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was far better equipped than at home which made cooking for large numbers of people easy. The chateau was extremely comfortable and beautifully situated, and I only wish we could have stayed for longer. I would definitely recommend this chatted to anyone.

We were very privaleged to stay here as part of a Wedding party . This is the most Fabulous restful place. We couldn't get over the peace and quiet and beauty of Chateau Puissentut. From the moment we arived to when we had to leave( reluctantly) it was just wonderful.
The owners were so accomodating and welcoming. Just the best place ever to recharge your batteries! We would love to visit again.

“A welcoming and beautiful place”
Reviewed November 8, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We celebrated our wedding at Puissentut and loved every moment we spend there. When researching for a place for our lifetime event we immediately felt that this was what we were looking for. A beautifully refurbished and nicely decorated old country chateau which provides comfort and tranquility in a beautiful surrounding. While this place is of a good size and can accommodate a large group of people it feels spacious and intimite at the same time. The warm welcome we received and the hospitality of the hosts Dirk and Angela made our stay very enjoyable.

“Great accommodation to prepare for the race”

We went here with a group of cyclists to join a tour. In preparation to this tour we stayed a week at Puyssentut and were surprised in every way possible. Delicious and healthy food (which can be arranged if you wish, as we did), spacious and stylish rooms and off course, the great surroundings. The hosts, Dirk and Angela, took care of everything needed and more! Definitely a place to return to next year when we will be joining the cyclist tour again.

“A beautiful house in a beautiful place”
Reviewed August 5, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

The Gers is a place most British visitors haven't heard of, but it's a sublimely beautiful area of rolling hills punctuated by sunflower fields. If I had to describe it in a sentence I'd say "the land of a thousand views", as reaching the top of each hill reveals a new view, different to the last.

Angela and D-K have created a beautiful place to stay and relax, with tastefully-decorated bedrooms spread around to allow a bit of privacy. The house itself has everything you could possibly need, and we found ourselves spending a lot more time just hanging around the house and relaxing than we expected - it has that kind of an effect on people.

Our hosts were perfect - friendly and happy to help, a pleasure to deal with.

“Breathtaking, Magical Chateau for a wedding or holiday”
Reviewed July 25, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We recently got married at Chateau Puissentut in in the middle of a week long stay with 20 of our family and friends. We had the most incredible time, and were blown away with the setting, facilities, and hosts.
Dirk-Karel and Angela were extremely warm, welcoming and helpful. They played a key part in making the wedding day run smoothly, and we loved having them there to celebrate it with us. They have two lovely daughters who also brought allot of fun and laughter to the week.

Upon arrival we immediately felt at ease about the wedding - the property and Chateau brought a great sense of calm and relaxation. The interior was tastefully decorated and roomy, and the dining areas and lounge rooms were perfect for entertaining our guests. All the bedrooms were very luxurious and each came with an ensuite. It also included a commercial kitchen which made group meals each night very easy!
Our days either side of the wedding were mainly spent relaxing by the pool, going for walks or enjoying the local towns and food. Their was a supermarket 15 minutes drive away in Fluerance which was convenient, and Monfort was a short walk away for coffee, a boulangerie and restaurant. It was such a charming and friendly part of France to be in.
We had the ceremony underneath a ruined 16th century pigeonnier which overlooked a sunflower field. It was truly breathtaking and the perfect place for a ceremony of our size (anywhere from 10-35 people would work). The Chateau and surrounding sunflower and wheat fields also provided a perfect back drop for beautiful photos.
Angela recommended people for catering and music, which turned out perfect for the occasion.

All in all the week far exceeded our expectations, and the wedding day was truly magical. We highly recommend holding your wedding here is you are planning to cater for around 15-40 guests. DIrk-Karel and Angela were the perfect hosts, and we can't thank them enough.
