“A peaceful place to rest after discovering the beauty of Tayron Park”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

A very nice little woman run this lovely place of two bungalows only. She is definetely helpful for organizing your stay in the region and will provide heaps of good advises - better if you speak a bit of Spanish though. The breakfast and dinners are good too. The place is just 5 min walk from the main entrance of the park. So you can enjoy the park for a few days, before coming to this restful place to relax, and explore the region further : Burritaca beach, the nearby river, etc. Be aware of 2 important things : 1. the bungalows are located out of the Tayrona Park, so you need to pay entrance fees each day you visit it. 2. you will pay extra for additionnal services (pick up/drop off Santa Marta, etc) without earlier notice

We ended up there by accident, our first thought was to stay somewhere close to the El Zaino entrance to the Tayrona Park, but just for one night and then walk to the entrance. Coming from Palmino, we started in Los Naranjos thinking there would be lots of options, but it turned out there isn't that many, most are overpriced (seemed nice though), or were already full and some were complete crap... so we walked and walked and ended up at the entrance to the park 3km later. I put down my bag and went for a look around, found this place pretty fast, away from the main road but a short walk away to our next destination.

Staff is easygoing and cheerful. Everything is kept clean and green. We nearly overdosed on those tasty mangoes they kept giving us! Haha!

We didn't get to see around the river and paths since it was almost sundown when we arrived... We were charged 35,000 per person (breakfast included). They made us some simple and tasty empenadas and mango juice for an extra 6,000 for dinner.

If we weren't in such a rush, we would have gladly stayed there on our way out of the park a couple of days later, for sure.

If you can't speak Spanish, it might be a bit hard to communicate, but they're quite lovely so I'm sure everything can be sorted out with a little effort.

Room Tip: There's only two rooms, so you're better off calling them ahead if you really want to stay t...

I spent the weekend at these cabins. The gardens were lovely and the whole place is very peaceful. The cabins themselves are clean, comfortable and surprisingly well appointed.

The place is near a river with some interesting walking tracks nearby although it mostly a handy base for exploring Parque Tayrona and surrounds.

I spent the weekend at the cabins and I really enjoyed it. It was relaxing, quiet and refreshing. The nicest things are the fresh, natural air and the river a few meters from the cabins. It has a nice trail for hiking and lot of pristine nature to see.
