“Just Perfect!”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

This place is so beautiful and its perfect for people looking to relax or couples on a romantic vacation. I was able to get a good deal for our stay thru agoda.com. What normally would cost around 200+ usd or 8,000+ pesos, i was able to get it for around 130 usd or 5,000 pesos. The package in agoda contained the following: Overnight stay Samal House, roundtrip transfers from airport to Pearl Farm and vice versa, and buffet breakfast for 2. A really good deal. On to the details of our stay.
Pros:
1. Beautiful grounds nature everywhere. you want to take a break from city life. its here.
2. EXCELLENT Service! I've been travelling a lot and this place tops! everyone greets you! They really have intuitive service! they were so thoughtful by knowing it was our anniversary and they gave us a complimentary cake! wow hands down. Also the moment they pick you up, you dont have to worry about anything at all! everything is taken cared of so you can relax on your stay. Whats good to note is. You're transfers from the airport or going back, you have your on personal driver and car! WOW. You dont share it with other guests or a bus or shuttle. You guys get your own car and driver. Plus the driver was very thoughtful in asking us if we'd like to go else were before dropping us off at the airport. no added charges or what ever! I just basically asked if he could drive by Mcdonalds so we can do take out and somewhere we can get fruits davao is famous of. Again, if thats not excellent i don't know what is.
3. Beaches and Pools are great! For the beach I suggest you go to the neighboring island where they have a private beach, its the best among their beach fronts. The boat transfers are free and only takes you 5 mins. Oh yah there's lots of fishes you can swim with and even feed them.
4. Excellent rooms. Our room was actually a house on stilts over the water. The room was spacious and had really comfy beds and had all the necessary amenities like fridge, hotpot, etc. whats great about the room is you really get to sleep and wake up with the sound of the waves and wake up with the view of the sea. so relaxing and something you don't often get to experience.
5. Value we got was good deal coz of Agoda. Pearl Farm might lean on the pricey side if you get the normal rates
6. The Buffet Breakfast was amazing! so many choices and they tasted good! as for our lunch and dinner we had ala carte and the servings are pretty big, they had an excellent burger, Though they're ala carte menu had limited choices. Should you like more variety and a big eater go for the buffet!
Cons:
1. Probably the small tv. I would have expected something bigger but i didnt bother watching tv since we wanted to explore the resort and spend time away from the buzzing city.
2. Non-Existent Wifi. I think the wifi can only be accessed in their restaurant and Parola.

Overall, we loved our stay and how Pearl Farm treated us. We would definitely like to come back. For me, it was one of the best places I've stayed so far aside from being beautiful, it was the intuitive and excellent service. All praises to Pearl Farm! Can't wait to visit again!

Room Tip: Get the rooms with the view of the sea, Samal Suites or House. For good deals try exploring Agoda.co...

Lovely place to rest and relax. Peace and beauty. The pools and the sea turquoise. Well kept and clean. Good service and friendly personnel. Great spa treatments. Also a great place to have parties, like the wedding we attended on Malipano.

I always shied away from Pearl Farm because it had a reputation of being hgh end, expensive nd exclusive. I finally gave in to my curiousity and bit the bullet. I haveabsolutely no regrets. It is super worth it. The service! The food! The ambiance.

Considering the number of gueat who go there for a day trip, the management may want to consider adding more shower rooms. It would have been perfect except for this.

I loved the Pearl Farm. This is not a destination if you are into a party scene however if you are looking for relaxation it is simply perfect. Staying in one of the three bed three bath villas. The rooms were clean and had all the comforts we could require. I have heard some people say they believe it to be expensive however being from Australia I couldn't complain about the price. To me it was cheap.
The spa was in beautiful surroundings and very relaxing. I had a hot stone massage for 90 minutes and it was under $30AUD. I had treatments everyday including, Peppermint foot treatments, body scrub, Hot stone massage, pedicure, manicure, Facial and a hair treatment and all up this cost $150AUD.
The food was good with plenty of choice. We ate the buffet breakfast everyday and then alternated between the menu and the buffet for dinner. No complaints on the price. Happy hour is between 4-6pm which was amazing. Half price cocktails and we had a ball. They are the best cocktails I have ever had.
The staff and service was exceptional.
The highlight of our trip was on the last night we organised a BBQ on the beach for the six of us. The setting was beautiful complete with lanterns in the trees and polished cutlery and napkins on the table. The food was suberb and could have fed double the amount of people. There was five different types of meet and vege kebabs, rice, hot potatoes, mixed veges, salads, all the trimmings, plus fruit and cakes for desserts, plus juice and wine and beer. The service from the cook and waiter was exceptional and it was an absolute highlight of my stay. The cost was about $280AUD which is less than $50 a head of the 6 of us and was beautiful and amazing. Will defintely be staying again and will be having a BBQ again for sure.!

I've been here so many times. Every year I visit this place to unwind. Their breakfast buffet has few menu or choices unlike before the Fuego hotels handled Pearl farm. They serve adobong manok ginisang ampalaya i think its a left over a night before. They increased they rates yearly, not reasonable. But the staffs were accomodating, I always love their buko shake, fried chicken rolled in sesame seed and kangkong with bagnet on top of it,masarap!!
To Pearl Farm- please lower your price its too pricey. Hope you have a discount for a frequent client.

The place is indeed a paradise. Staffs were accomodating, friendly and always wearing smiles.
Breakfast buffet has a lot of choices and all the food tastes great. We also grabbed the dinner buffet for 950 per person. It was pricey but worth it. The infinity pool was magnificent, especially at night. The other pool with jacuzzi at Mandaya house was a perfect option to stay at in the afternoon while the day tour people are busy with the infinity pool.

The white sand beach at Malipano island is inviting, though we weren't able to swim longer because the beach was too salty, it was hurting our eyes.

Pearl Farm is perfect for couples and families. Take note, this is not a beach party paradise like Boracay. This is for people hungry for a relaxing and soothing vacation. Though they also have a mini bar on top of their Parola. It's perfect to visit the Parola bar during sunset where they also offer 50% off on their alcoholic beverages. Wifi is good at Parola and Maranao restaurant.

We stayed at Samal House, their over the water cottages. We were surprised how beautiful and how big our bed was. The only negative side was the limited supply of hot shower. You can only use hot shower for about 15 minutes then it wont work already. I called the front desk and told them about this and they told me to wait for another 15 minutes because their hot water tank is a bit small. But overall, who wouldn't enjoy waking up to the sound of the waves, hearing the chirping of birds and be greeted by the beautiful sunrise glaring magnificently to the island's beauty that is Pearl Farm.

If you're looking for a short vacation just to get away from it all, pearl farm is a mere one -hour ferry ride from davao city and when you get there you feel instantly relaxed, like you've been transported to an isolated world-class resort.
Amenities are complete, people arecorteous, and you really feel the hospitable spirit of the place the moment you dock. There are aqua sports available for rent at reasonable prices, don't forget to try the banana boat, jetski, and wake boarding. there apis a team of experts always on hand to help you out and assist.
Lunch was okay, but if you finish all the water activities and lunch by 1pm, there's another ferry to bring you back to the city for more shopping and nightlife. :)) davao has the best of both worlds really!!
