Went here with friends when I was living in Ramla. Went once, and never looked back. Perhaps I had just a bad experience, but it was enough for me to never step foot back in there. First of all, we walked in, and they told us they couldn't server us. There were too many of us. I believe there were 8 of us that went out to dinner together.. Then they chased out after us and said they were Sorry, and that we could come in and eat, but we had to be out of there by 8pm because they had reservations...It was only 6pm so that was 2 hours away. We were find with that, So we said okay, and went and sat down.... Now the food we were served was very good. Delicious actually, however.... They didn't have anything on their menu, they were out of bread, out of this, our of that... Eventually we decided on the few dishes we would eat. . They messed up our orders... All of them... Our drinks didn't come until after our food.. And it took them so long to make our food, that we were kicked out of the restaurant with doggy bags basically because by the time we got our food we had to leave. It just was an all over horrible experience and none of us ever went back. We took our service to Samir's, or The Sandwich bar or Aviko.

“How to best judge a cultural restaurant?”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

Entering an Indian restaurant in Israel to meet Indian tourists who have traveled from quite a distance for a meal, must indicate something about its authenticity and quality.
That is exactly how we felt during a recent visit to MAHARAJA, a rather simple looking grocery shop and restaurant compilation.
Strictly vegetarian it offers a most impressive dishes selection, rather difficult to choose from. Everything we have eventually selected was most enjoyable, while only regretting our incapacity to also try some of the dishes served to the nearby tables.
