Description: Lovina's sunset is something to celebrate.Rikki's beach bistro at Lilin Lovina Beach Hotel is just the place to end your day and start your evening. In the tradition of great sunset gatherings like the Spanish Steps in Rome or the pier at Key West, inspired music is the magnet that brings everyone together. You might find the music romantic, maybe sentimental, definitely uplifting and mostly the kind of music that is the backdrop for people making heartfelt connections and memories by the sea. At Rikki's, food is a cultural experience, sampling traditions from around the world. Something Latin, Something French, Something American in a pinch. Drinks? That's where it gets really interesting. In a perfect world, nobody travels thousands of miles to a distant shore and orders something they can drink at home. Alcoholic or Nada-holic, the drinks at Rikki's have been crafted, something like potions. They use funky combinations of local brews, fruits, even a vegetable here and there, to channel the exotic, fresh, lightness and beauty of Bali into a glass vessel. Coconut water meets Sangria. Rice Wine meets Tonic. They might have odd names but you'll find them just right, adventuring sip by sip. Rikki's is more than the view, more than the music. It is a place you will want to linger at the dimming of the day. Intimate and Fire-Lit. You'll sit close to the sea, close to the sand, and find yourself closer to those you love.

“Great atmosphere and food but pushy waiters”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2013

We were offered a free drink for a jazz performance at this restaurant so we decided to check it out. We arrived after a walk of around 1.5km along the beach from kalibukbuk center. The place looked great with several types of tables/chairs on a grass platform on the beach around a small stage where the jazz was playing. The menu is original and contains 4 main courses (tapas style) for 115k rp. Matching cocktails are suggested.
We had a great meal here although half an appetizer, a cocktail and a main course was only just enough to satisfy our appetite. One of the two cocktails (livin something) was really great, the one of my gf was so-so but - given the location and the price of 65k - they're good value for money.
The live jazz music was nice but a bit too loud for my taste.
During the evening we were asked around 5-6 times whether we wanted another drink (while we already ordered a beer and cocktail each), which felt too pushy for us. The waiters were friendly but this felt not sincere to us (two 23 year old Belgians!). These two points however did not spoil our evening. The hotel/restaurant owners were very friendly.
Transport back to the hotel (Lovina) is included.

“Rikki's Beach Bistro”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2013

Fantastic way to end a lovely sunny Lovina day, a very unique menu that was well presented, even a complimentary beer! The cocktails looked fantastic, however the ambience of the amphitheatre on the footsteps of the sand of the beach at sunset with beautiful live music, hanging lanterns, palm trees & dancing swallows was a moment to rival Jinbaran bay, it was simply perfect.
It is not every day you get the owners of a business entertaining their guests on stage with live music performances & Rikki & Brian put on a great show, there was even a Balinese traditional dance display by their young daughter Zoe! So cute!
I highly recommend checking it out, I know I will be going back!

“Homely atmosphere with fair prices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2013

A low key, beachside restaurant with fair prices for well presented food. Food isn't particularly exciting and its a small menu but its made up for by having an hour's music courtesy of the resident American owners and a small band. Deserts? hmmm, didnt do it for me but not a big issue. Certainly worth a visit.

“A charming and unique experience, definitely worth a visit!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2013

Looking for a different experience we tried this recently opened beach place. Welcomed by the entertaining singer-songwriter perfomance of the owner we enjoyed the beautiful sunset from the beach side theatre-diner. Drinks and food were as unique in design as the place itself, really different from other places in this area we had been before. Overall a must try experience that is definitely worth the money.
The menus are pretty large so if you're not a big eater and want to leave some space for the delicious dessert, consider sharing. Including appetizer and starter there's enough for two.
Small (startup?) details: service was warm although a bit slow, especially in explaining the menu concept. Credit card payment not possible (yet?).
