You couldnt ask for more than this lodge. With Kilimanjaro overlooking your room, the pool the food everything is wonderful. The staff are brilliant nothing is to much trouble and they make a big fuss of repeat guests.

The monkeys are so funny you cant leave your door open as they are straight in for the sugar.

Would not do a safari without returning here.

Amazing lodge literally on the edge of Amboseli National Park. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings with wonderful views of Kilimanjaro. Perimeter fence only 50 yards or so from our room. Amboseli is famed for its elephant population and you won't be disappointed. Plenty of elephant activity easily visible. The Authentic lodge with welcoming reception/lobby area with character artefacts and furnishings. Attentive service. Excellent restaurant with buffet breakfast & lunch and choice from menu for dinner. Nice pool and garden areas, but watch out for the baboons! We were told to keep our door shut to keep them out as they like to snatch the sugar sachets from the room, which we duly did, but the still managed to push the door open and get in. After that we always locked the door when we were inside or out. Nice comfortable bedroom. Only thing we didn't like was the fact there is no curtain/blind in covering the large bathroom window. There is a high fence behind and we were assured no-one could look in, but still a bit weird and unnecessary. Electricity is limited at times, as is common in many lodges, but torches are supplied. We were the only Brits staying at the time, which is fine. Surprisingly quite a few families with children. Would recommend this hotel and miss it already!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of Mount Kilimanjaro.

I saw great reviews on Trip Advisor and was excited about visiting the lodge. I travelled with a group of friends and was there for one night. The lodge is strategically placed in the middle of the Amboseli National Park and has great views of elephants and Mount Kilimanjaro.

The lodge is well kept. It is very clean, the rooms were spotless and well taken care of. An interesting feature in the rooms is the wide and open window in the bathrooms where you get to see a bit of nature as you take a shower.

There was good food variety and it very tasty food was served. However, dessert items kept on dwindling without being replenished - this happened both at lunch and at dinner.

However, the service was horrible. The staff were not welcoming or happy. They didn't even say hello. Only 2 staff members said hello during the entire time I was there. At some point, I was struggling to open the door to the eating area while a waiter was counting spoons just next to me and he didn't even offer to help.

If you are looking for the following:

1. Open plains with clear views all around;
2. A quiet place to rest;
3. To see endless views of elephants and more elephants;
4. Uninterrupted views of Mount Kilimanjaro; and
5. A pretty lodge to relax in.

Then Ol Tukai Lodge might be the place for you.

We were in Amboseli from 18 May till 20 May and stayed in the Ol Tukai Lodge. This lodge is very well situated with great view on Kilimanjaro. The elephants are just walking by your room! This lodge is very well maintained and the quality of service is very good. People who are helpfull and rooms are great. Clean, large, and fully equipped. Food in the restaurant is of a good quality with lots of variations. I can only recommend this lodge.

Room Tip: If you want to see the elephants ask for a room with view on swamp. The right side of the lodge has...

Just returned from dream safari and stayed at Ol Tukai lodge in AMBOSELI This is a fantastic lodge to stay in only wish I had more than 1 night here. The staff are all welcoming, warm and caring and nthing is too much trouble.
The food was excellent and the whole place was super clean.
The rooms in the grounds were surrounded by a large family group of monkeys which caused no trouble and were entertaing to watch.
I could very easily live there it is so relaxing and the views are stunning.
The safari was better than I could ever have imagined thanks to the driver GEORGE from AKORN SAFARIS
This was my dream holiday and I was not dissappointed and cannot wait to return later in the year

Room Tip: all the rooms are of the same high standard and are very clean and comfortable

This was our 3rd stay at Ol Tukai Lodge and it never fails to impress. The rooms, gardens, food and the staff are superb. The views from the bunglows are amazing with herds of elephants and other wildlife just a few metres away, fantastic. There is a lovely pool to relax by whilst waiting for your next safari on the plains of Amboseli. The views of Kilamanjaro from the lodge are just amazing. We booked our Safari with JT Safaris (Julias Tact) and in our opinion they are the best. This was our 7th safari to Kenya and Tanzania and I can honestly say this Safari Company outshone all the others.Nothing was to much trouble, our driver went off the beaten track to find us the wildlife that the other tour buses missed i.e a lioness and her cubs hidden under bushes just feet away, we would never have seen this if all the other vans had been there. We just sat there watching them play for half an hour on our own, it was great.
I would certainly recommend Ol Tulai Lodge above others in the park for the relaxation, ambience and views to name a few, and certainly recommend JT Safaris for a Safari experiece never to be forgotten.
