We came to stay here coming from Nairobi in a self-driv 4WD -which, by the way is no problem, IF you bring your navi. We loved Amboseli and this Lodgge in particular. Very well situated within a little wood -and thus protecting a few of the trees that survived the Elephants thus far.
Our room, with great bed, shower and terrace -all very good an clean.
Food, service and amenities very good.
The lodge is obviously very well managed.
No question: if prices did not keep me from Kenia altogether, this would be my choice in Amboseli!

We had an unbelievable time. The lodges were comfortable, of exactly the right size and well equipped.
The entire facility is designed in an all-African eclectic, yet tasteful style. The meals offer a good variety, the staff is friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated the early morning and afternoon tea/coffee service. All in all Ol Tukai added to my first safari being a splendid adventure.
One thing the management could improve, is to make sure guests are informed about the planned power cuts in the lodges. One can arrange the day accordingly. Otherwise, great job and well recommended to other safari enthusiasts!

Room Tip: Consider asking for a room with the view on the elephants as opposed to Mount Kilimanjaro. In Januar...

We went as a group of seven to the lodge and had organised our own transport to arrive there. The staff were from the onset helpful, organised and cheerful. The checking in process was made easier by the hotel insisting we sit down while they completed the process. The for should be simplified and reduced to an A5 page if possible.

The dining room and bar staff were excellent, there was no inconsistency during our stay.

The park boasts some of the largest herds of elephants and were not disappointed. We were lucky enough to also see a lioness and two cubs.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The mountain view rooms boast the best views. However, all rooms are well maintained and comfortable...

There for one night. Food was okay. Views and room was beautiful. If its a clear day the sunrise and view of Mount Kilimanjaro was fab! Bit crazy about the crickets knocking on our door and getting under the gap ha. All part of the experience! These lodges are at an european standard so nice and spacious.

I originally was booked into the Serena Lodge for 2 nights, and as they were holding a large convention on animal welfare, for my third night in Amboseli my travel agent booked me into the Ol Tukai Lodge. From the moment I walked into the beautiful 2 story entry with its open air architectural design I knew I would only want to stay here on my next trip to Amboseli. This hotel in my opinion would be more attractive to the American tourist seeking quiet, solitude and expansive views of Mt.Kilamanjaro in the background. The architectural design of this hotel is truly like a lodge.

The rooms all have views as they face outward toward either Mt Kilamanjaro or where elephant herds graze. The size of the rooms are huge with vaulted ceilings, and they all have recently been redone. The showers give you a feeling of being outdoors with their unique design. Even the toiletries and skin care products they provide in the room are great! I loved them!

The staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Their assistance was impeccable!

The food was very good, and it was a buffet for every meal which I prefir. I loved the bar too with its open air design. It was sure great to crack open a cold Tusker beer after a day out seeing the elephants, lions, cheetahs, zebras and so many other animals!

I booked a massage while at the hotel and it was incredible. If I had more days there I would have scheduled another session.

My choice for next trip is definitely back to the Ol Tukai Lodge.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Ol Tukai Lodge in Amboseli Park, Kenya. The accommodation and staff team were excellent. Views from the lodge of both Mt. Kilimanjaro and elephants in the adjoining swamp were amazing! Safari experience was delightful and did not disappoint.
Food was excellent and the staff in the restaurant very attentive.
Special mention to the head porter Peter who provided the most wonderful service
Will return one day

Room Tip: Get a room next to the fence where the animals are
