Staying in Serena safari lodge and camps in Ambosoli is really a life time experience. If you are coming to Ambosoli then why not to try this hotel. They are good, clean, huge, customer friendly and well decorated. Plus if u get a room from 60 to 67 then additionally you will get a scenic beauty of jungle from your balcony with a cup of coffee or few sip of of hard drinks. The staff are always ready to serve you with a great smile and always try to make you happy whatever the way possible. They have committed a room change to a jungle view room and they have done on my one request only.

Cons : wifi is not so strong, although other than posting / sharing your pictures on FB or WhatsApp hopefully you don't want to spoil your time on any official mails or presentation.

I would like to recommend this hotel in Ambosoli for all travelers and my friends. I gave 5 out of 5 ratings because I don't have anything to complain till now.

Note : they don't have TV at room and for me that's the best way to be with the nature without any political noise.

With 93 rooms, this is a large property. Nevertheless, the professional a well trained teams at Serena Amboseli Safari lodge really know their staff.

We had a wonderful time there.
From the welcome, through to briefing us on our tours, to the food and fabulous service in the restaurant, we could not fault it. Everything was well thought through.
The restaurant offered a good selection of food, it was buffet style and there were good vegetarian choices.

The property has a lovely ambience, well decorated and designed, and wildlife is constantly passing by as we sipped a cocktail or had a meal.
Our package was full board, but you have to pay for soft drinks.
The rooms were well designed, but for my taste a little too close together. Personally I am not so keen to listen to my neighbours conversations

We loved the open fire in the evenings, listening to some soft music, sounds of nature and exchanging Safari stories with other travellers.

The game drivers where brilliant, All of them were very knowledgable and friendly.

One guy, his name was Youssif, really stood out. He went out of his way to explain and care for things and animals we liked. He also understood how to best position the vehicle for us to take great shots with appropriate background and well positioned angles.

We did visit the Maasai village which was interesting, but a bit of a rip off.

All together we can highly recommend this place, and I hope you will enjoy your stay there as much as we did.

Had a wonderful weekend at Amboseli Serena. The staff is very service oriented, went above and beyond to support my requests. The hotel premises are beautiful, I saw lots of monkeys, baboons, some type of deer just while sitting in the lawn area, and a type of bobcat from my room terrace. The decor is lovely, and gives a very authentic Kenya experience.

A few downsides are that the room gets a little stuffy at night if the beds are enclosed in the mosquito nets (since the fan is outside the net), typical extras like bedroom slippers or toothbrush/toothpaste, conditioner are not included, and the walk back to the rooms at night get a little dark despite the walkway lights.

Overall would def visit again!
