We had an excellent meal here last night as a party of 8. The older members of our group had all eaten here a long time ago and had good memories of it. The Mill is still in the original family's ownership but has been refurbished to a really high standard.
The dining room was cool, bright and airy with a welcoming bar area including a little terrace with river view that would be fantastic to have a drink on if Summer ever arrives. We were greeted warmly by the staff at the bar and offered drinks straight away. Good wine list with a broad selection and fair prices. The menu was also really good with a range and prices similar to what you would expect in the fine dining restaurants in Norfolk.
The food was absolutely fantastic though and a cut above the competition. The little extras like the hot fresh bread, and fresh cheese straws were a really nice touch, and we were pleased to see no side dishes with the main dishes instead being substantial enough to fill you up (still leaving room for the equally excellent and large deserts).
Service from the owner and his team was friendly and efficient and not in your face. They knew the menu well and offered good advice. Really looking forward to going back already!
