If you are anywhere near Sant Antoni de Calonge, then this restaurant is a must to experience. The building itself is impressive, particularly inside where the split level nautical theme has a special feel. Outside you can sit opposite the Mediterranean at your silver service table watching the waiter flambé a sea bass in fennel.
It is expensive and the food can't be described as exceptional, nevertheless well worth going once. Unfortunately there are several better restaurants in the resort and once you've worked that out, it becomes more expensive and less exceptional by comparison.
Refugi de Pescadores has been established fifty years, and the owners are justifiably proud of it's reputation. It's just not as good as El Raco, Guillermo, and Kubansky.
