On a recent trip to Burano after wandering the main street and it's many restaurants I came across the Riva Rosa nestling on the side of a quieter canal. The outside tables looked inviting in the flower decked side street and so I stopped for lunch. The Tuna tartare was very good and very fresh, unfortunately my first choice of gnocchi with spider crab was off as there were no gnocchi that day, but they suggested tagliatelle with spider crab instead and it was delicious. The fritto misto was generously portioned and light as a feather. The bottle of Sauvinon blanc I had ordered had run out and so they suggested another from the Fruli which was excellent and although more expensive they charge me the same price as the bottle I had ordered. Good service and lovely food, not cheap but I felt it good value non the less, I couldn't fault it.
