The restaurant is located in a terrace of typically, brightly coloured houses on a canal in Burano. It is about 200m from the vaperetto stop and is ideally situated for lunch after a visit to Totchello. It is a place for enjoying a meal of high quality local sea food, not for a quick, cheap meal. It is lovely environment, the service is excellent and the experience is well worth the money.
You can order dishes off the menu or, as we did, discuss with the waiter what to have for the table and add further dishes as you go.
In our case it was a spider crab each and some prawns. Then a plate of razor shells and scallops and thirdly a platter of Frito misto. Pudding was a freshly made tira misu. The bottle of Soave Classico suggested for us was a perfect wine for the meal.

I visited today to try out the signature dish dish of this restaurant, risotto, which absolutely lived up to my expectations. I could see that the other meals being served looked absolutely delicious. Very pleasant and accommodating service. Thoroughly recommend.

Amazing food and plentiful. Waiters very quick at getting around. It is a very busy restaurant and worth the trip to the island. But you better book in advance e as it is always packed out. We went across about 90. Ins to look around while there was daylight and take lots of photos and time for a pre dinner drink at one of the bars close to the lagoon. Then wandered in for a 5 course meal with a lovely surprise at the end. You will have to go to find out what it was. It might be different from ours but won't spoil it for you. After dinne we took our time getting to water taxi so we could enjoy the colourful buildings st night. They take on a different look when the light changes.

Arrived late from Murano, but our table awaited us. Never mind. Warmly greeted by Massimiliano with a glass of prosecco. I knew of the restaurant from a TV programme and it was a dream to eat here. It did not disappoint. Had to have the signature dish. Risotto was an exquisite starter followed up by scallops and tiramisu for my wife. The ambience was great making us feel very welcome. Speaking to one of the waiters, I mentioned the three Murano glass cats we had collected over many years and that we had only had black cats as pets. The next thing i knew was be brought me, as gift, a small black Murano glass cat. I will be back! Thank you.

Yes, everyone tells you its the best risotto around and mist people just pitch up for that, but don't get sucked into thinking this is all this place is about because is isn't.

the fresh fish offering is excellent and should be the priority the day.when we were there the days special was baby clams & scallops with soft shell crab which was nothing short of sensational. Off course we had the Risotto as second course but its quite large and a filling portion. I believe if the restaurant is busy and you are ordering other courses they will consider doing you a single portion to share.

we finished with the catch of the day which was a sea bream roasted with potatoes peppers and radicchio, lovely.

its very much in the style of the traditional Venetian restaurants which seem to be few and far between.

the staff were excellent and we even got to meet the man himself on the way out.

on the whole a delightful experience and well worth the boat ride.
