“Great campsite”
Reviewed January 20, 2014

Complexo Palmeiras has a nice campsite, lots and lots of shadow, electricity and (often) hot showers. A couple of stairs lead from the campsite to the beach in the estuary of Bilene. It's a great spot for a few days, as long as you stay out of their overpriced restaurant/bar.

“Lunch a Palmeiras”
Reviewed January 12, 2014

A great lunch stop in the town of Bilene. Palmeiras offers a very well situated restaurant right on the beach that serves up all the classic Mozambican style food. To keep the unwanted out they charge quite a steep entrance into the resort however this fee becomes a credit for anything purchased from the restaurant. So it makes sense when visiting to plan your lunch stop here.
Great views and really good food.

“Desperately needs update/upgrades”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

Pros:
Beautiful location
Cons:
Chalets are very old. Some have AC in only one room
Toilets are a let down
Limited type of food/menu
Not much to do, no activities
Suggestions:
You must have some braii or bon fire etc in night for guests like in Goa to make it more happening

“the right spot in December months”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

This little Restaurante, bar, conveniente Shop is in the prime location of Praio do Bilene and has access to the salt water lagoon that is so huge, it looks like an ocean, the water is see-through and on the veranda of this restaurante, you have an island feeling. The food is excellent and the local beer is just the thing in this very very hot loacation. there is always action like diving, snorckling, deep sea fishing.

“One stop shop in Bilene”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

Complexo Palmeiras has it all - good food, great view, awesome beach, accommodation and camping as well as a dive centre. The food is traditionally Portuguese and the peri peri is to die for! I'm a huge chili lover, and I insisted on getting a bottle to take home! The seafood is amazing, as is the chicken, meat and everything else we tasted. The view is amazing, and the beach is clean and well kept. The dive centre prices are very reasonable and the sunset cruise to N'banga lodge is an absolute must. The seahorse safari and ocean safaris are amazing as well, and the aquatic life in Bilene is amazing - you're almost guaranteed to see dolphins, whales, mantas and many tropical fish every time you go out.
