“An amazing experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2014

Our 3 night stay was to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The weather was not good on the day we arrived (sand) and had been poor for 3 days so we could not see the setting on arrival as we hoped. The room/suite was huge and really comfy. On waking the next morning the sky had cleared, the sun was out and the views spectacular. The food throughout our stay was very good especially the breakfast. The rooftop restaurant (suhail) was good but our favourite was the Ghadeer (which I believe also cooks for dining by design). Although going to relax, which we did, we managed to do the archery, sunrise camel trek and husband the dune bashing whilst I spent time in the spa. The desert and colours in the sand are truly amazing. For our anniversary we had the romantic "dining by design' in the desert which was lovely despite the chill/wind that evening. All in all a trip to remember in a stunning, luxurious location. I absolutely loved the 'rose' cocktail served in the lounge bar and still remember watching the sun set as I sipped it slowly! All in all expensive but worth it for a special occasion.

Spent Christmas with my family there. It was amazing, with the best views, great food, great service, and fun activities. Best part is they have a play room for the children with blown-up slides and plenty of toys. Christmas dinner was delightful and drinks at night by the outdoor bar was mystical. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with lamps and wooden furniture.

Room Tip: Get rooms facing the desert, best view ever.

Having heard glowing reports of Qasr Al Sarab since the day we arrived in the UAE nearly two years ago we finally got the chance to check it out for ourselves. A simple drive (under 3 hrs) from Dubai means you can leave after work and arrive just as the sun has set and still have a good chunk of the evening left to enjoy a fabulous Arabic BBQ dinner out on the sand surrounded by flaming torches. Everything about this location has been planned in meticulous detail from the architecture to the room furnishings. The Library looks like something out of the Natural History museum and the views from the bedrooms and terraces are superb. Sunset from the roof-top bar is a must as is lazing almost all day (oops) by the pool while occasionally getting up to view the incredible sand dunes. There is an abundance of wildlife here which is visible by the myriad of different tracks in the sand you can see when taking the sunrise camel ride or just walking around the location at any time of day or night. We'll be back for sure just as soon as we can!

You feel welcomed the moment you arrive, everything that I experienced was truly top notch! Yes it is a little pricey but definitely well worth it. As the saying goes "you get what you pay for"". Try to get a room with a balcony view, as the desert sand dunes and sunset are amazing. I only stayed for one night but I covered a lot in 24hrs. The Arabian Massage at the Anantra Spa set the tone for me after I arrived as I felt so relaxed the rest of my stay. Climbing the top of the highest sand dune at the resort to see the sunset overlooking miles of desert was a site to see! The Australian Waygu Steak I had for dinner at Suhail was one of the best I have ever tasted The activities that were available were fantastic! The early morning sunrise camel trekking experience was my personal favorite. My guide was amazing and very knowledgeable as he answered all my questions pertaining to the desert sand and camels. My archery guide was nice enough to let me visit the falcon sanctuary and allow me to see them in person as the falcon event was closed for the rest of the summer due to high heat. The pool and complementary water and fruit juice was a great way to wind down and relax. Finally, the staff was so very humble and amazing. Always smiling and greeting me wherever I went. I will return here again! Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Try to get a Balcony Room for amazing sunset views!

This was the most amazing experience from start to finish. We chose this resort as a stop over destination on our way home from Europe in Apr 13 and it was the most relaxing and tranquil location. We absolutely loved the falconer experience and have the most amazing photos to remember this unique experience. We stayed in the deluxe terrace room, which was definitely worth every sent. We had beautiful morning and evening strolls over the sand dunes and the most glorious sunsets. What made our stay even better was the fabulous staff that were more than happy to meet your needs promptly and a joy to talk to about their life outside the resort. Worth travelling the distance, I would suggest you hire a car and experience the desert at your own pace. If you are worried about the cost - don't! It's worth every cent!!

We stayed here just for short (and thats the only one bad decision of us) and everything was so great and perfect. The place is in fact such beautifuly. We had dinner in the Suhail restaurant and we were so nicely and intently treated. Food was very, very tasty as well. Actually, the staff was outstanding. So mindful and realy friendly. The people here do more than just there job. The think further in a realy positiv way to give you a great feeling. And i realize as well, that they are unusual qualified. Amazing! We left with some wonderful impressions. Thank you very much.
