the anyavee is located on the east side of railay beach. to get here we had to take a longtail from the mainland jetty for a boatride of 20 or 30mins depending on the waves. once we arrived since it was low tide, we had to walk a good half mile through sand and slippery moss to get on land. once on land we had to walk another half mile to the anyavee. do not if you can, bring any luggage, if you can bring a backpack just because you will be doing all the carrying yourself when you get there. or arrive during high tide which can vary each day, but from 12 noon to 3 pm you can be confident you can arrive all the way up to the sidewalk of the anyavee. overall, the hotel is pretty standard. simple and clean, nothing fancy. breakfast is pretty good with a buffet every morning. there are many water activities to do on the west side of railay beach. pretty much numerous tourist when we were there last week, most of the beaches were swamped with humans!! go during the low season, it will be more worthwhile. night life is pretty relaxed and there is the joy's beach bar which is run by two brothers, janet and joy....yes....they are men, not women, but a great bar with good pizzas!! overall, i like a more sedate environment with less tourist running...More
