This is the best option for a nicer beach than Ao Nang without traveling too far. Approx 10 min boat ride at a rate of 100 THB per person. The only issue is the crowds that you cannot get away from during December and the cost of food and drink in this small hippy area.

Good place, with an expensive fancy side and a cheap but enjoyable muddy side. We stayed in a cheap place on the less attractive mussy side t it was all so close that this wasn't a problem. Good place to visit.

Beautiful beach! It was very busy at times, but the natural beauty of the place is stunning. Yes, there were too many longtail boats, but we were there during peak season.

We took longtail boat from krabi which lasted for about 35 mins for 150 thb each. Coming from krabi u enter railay on the eastern side and I must say we did wonder what we had come to. After wading thro the mud we walked thro a winding path where monkeys posed etc and the open caves were just amazing. At the end of this winding path we entered the most magnificent scene we have ever come across where the cliff's rose above the beach..... Such a surprise.... Climbers in their plenty and altho it was busy we had the most wonderful day. There are longtail boats selling all kinds of food and drink. What a most amazing day
