I was checking into the hotel and was assured by Expedia that Sand Sea would honor their pricing for an upgraded room (Superior Deluxe Bungalow). As soon as I came to the front desk, the concierge was extremely rude. After explaining my situation, he tried to charge me their standard rate in the pamphlet which was twice as expensive! I showed him the price on Expedia at that very moment and he still refused. After having Expedia speak to his manager and waiting in the lobby for 2.5 hours, I finally got upgraded. The worst part is, it was Expedia that covered the difference in price!
If it weren't for the rude customer service, I would rate this hotel a 4. The rooms and beach were nice. The breakfast was an adequate buffet with an omelette station, fruit and yogurt and a hot breakfast.More
