The whole experience was just the most perfect thing ever. The langurs running across the roof in the mornings, the cocktails at sundown, the fantastic service at the beach or pool, the food was beyond compare, and above all the staff were divine (even the gardeners know your name) and if I could I'd go back tomorrow

The resort is top notch all the way. Accomodations are single 2 story round buildings set amidst a tropical garden paradise bordering 3 beaches. The second floor which has bedroom and bath includes a 12 ft wide comfy bed and a luxurious bath with huge deep round tub, walk in shower etc. Daily complimentary fresh fruit assortment is left with room service along with Thai teas, candies, etc. Complimentary daily breakfast/brunch with tables and tables full of an unbelievable array of diverse, fresh and delectable foods. For daytime fun, there are free kayaks or snorkeling equipment to use, a gym, different classes, etc. Although the beaches are beautiful with white sands and blue-green clear water, there is also an infinity pool with poolside service for food and drinks. There are spa services galore for purchase and the service is second to none. And the very best thing about this place is that everywhere you look, it is beautiful..up, down and all around...

Room Tip: All units are the identical I believe. You can't go wrong...it's all paradise.

If you're planning on going island hopping down south, skip Koh Samui and head to Krabi. Rayavadee is accessible only by boat, which gives you an idea of the remoteness. The resort is private, but during peak season (we went over new years 2011), you will expect island hopers on the beaches. I was imagining, a very private beach, just us swimming in the water. Forget that, you have boats coming in and out with other island hoppers doing day trips. It's a busy beach! Some may like this, we would have preferred a more quieter beach. We spent our days at Phranang beach, skip the pool, not the best. Regardless of the action, the mountains and the sea are unreal, I guess you have to share this kind of beauty with all. I would highly recommend taking the boat trip to Bamboo island, this is a remote island where you can get that deserted island. A very special place compared to Koh Phi Phi (sorry guys, but that beach in the film The Beach is polluted with boats and people). It's all about Bamboo Island!

The hotel is very spacious, you may got lost as the property is massive, but don't worry the friendly staff will give you a lift on their golf cart. The food is excellent, service A+. Rooms are bungalow style so you have ultimate privacy. Managers are very friendly, and always greeted us by name in the mornings. The Spa is excellent. If your thinking about an island down south head to Rayavadee, it's a magical place.

The dearest rememberance would be the daily walk to the breakfast venue through the beautiful rain-forest like park !
An unforgettable experience has been the New Year's eve Gala Dinner.
There are some weak points, e.g. : low quality wi-fi but all is ballanced by the frienndlyness of the staff

My husband and I spoilt ourselves with the honeymoon package during our trip to Thailand. Although it is expensive I can happily say that I will think of another excuse to treat us to another stay there! It is worth every penny, we had a wonderful spa pavilion that was perfect in every way from the flower filled outdoor bath to the huge comfy sofa and bed. All the staff were wonderful, polite and welcoming and we were made to feel like royalty...particularly in the spa which I highly recommend. The food is out of this world, I have never in all my travels seen a breakfast buffet quite like theirs, and I am very particular about the quality of my food! We also had a private BBQ in the grotto on the beach one night which was very lovely....also don't miss the private speedboat tour around the islands, we felt like movie stars! The crew were fantastic, informative, fun and waited on us hand and foot whilst making sure they found us the most isolated parts of the very busy islands so we were alone...PERFECT!

As title suggests, this hotel is amazing. Its luxurious in every way. The staff are so polite and are better at English than at others. The facilities are great and they offer free events twice a day to try things out. I tried the Thai boxing and it was a great experience. I dont agree with previous comments about the gym, its really good for what you require when on holiday and it has a squash court which is unusual!

Our room was quite dark but very luxurious. We were impressed with it when first arriving. The hotel as people on here suggest is very expensive and over priced really but if you're clever about it then you can stay at not too much of an expense. For example they do 2 for 1 on the wine in one of the bars at night, they do free tea and snacks at 4pm and then there are streets nearby with shops and bars selling things cheaper.

The resort is really big, and walking wasn't an issue for us. The staff do kiss your [--] a little bit but I suppose you always get that at an expensive hotel.

All in all, we loved the stay but wouldn't stop here agai because we found it too remote. The only way you can get to the mainland (Au Nang) is by taxi boat and if you want to stop out for a good drink and come back in the early hours of the morning then the taxi boats will rip you off because they know you have no other way of getting back and probably think you're rich! We preferred to stay in the hotel on the main strip in Au Nang and hire a scooter so we can have more freedom.

The beach itself gets very busy during the daytime with back packers etc.

The food in the thai resturant is expensive but must be tried. It is out of this world. The shef is amazing. I don't agree with some of the comments on things are tired and need updating, that is so far from the truth. Not sure what some people expect!?!?

In summary, we loved the hotel but wouldn't stop here again as we like to be able to mix up a quiet hotel with a access to a busy nightlife, if you want it.....Au Nang has a lot more choice of places to eat, drink and buy things etc.

We stayed here at the end of our 3 week holiday in Thailand, I had high expectations and I'm pleased to say I was not disappointed. I thought the grounds and the Pavillions were beautiful and really spacious. The restaurants at the property are fantastic, but it was also nice to have the option of walking down the beach and trying other places. There are 3 beaches to choose from which do get busy with day trippers from late morning to mid afternoon, but during this time we laid by the pool which was a reallly nice quiet area, even in the busy season.
