This hotel is beautiful, lovingly restored by the owners and is in an incredible location. 1 disadvantage, if you are here to travel around the Tarragona area. It is very remote and it is a long way up and down the mountain. We were originally booked in for 8 days but left after 3 nights, as the travel was too much......This is a hotel in a location that should be on everybody's to do list once in their life, maybe a romantic weekend or something......it is a great place. Get the owner to show you his wine cellar and the story of digging it out by hand fron the bedrock.......lovely people, lovely hotel, lovely location.

After many kilometers of very winding driving, in the midst of an unreal landscape ... wow. A beautiful inn in an unbelievable spot. The hotel has only 6 bedrooms, tastefully furnished. Tiled floors, hard wood. Lovely landscaping. Next to a gorge and 400m away from and overlooking Siurana itself. Beautiful pool. We had breakfast several days and dinner once next an gorgeous picture window view. The hotel provided complimentary shrimp at cocktail hour. Food in general was very good. An incredibly romantic hideaway and an excellent base for exploring the area.

Found Mirador on Tripadvisor, and was not disappointed. I was looking for a quiet place to relax and that is exactly what I found. About 1,5 hours from Barcelona, half of it on entertaining winding roads in the spanish mountains. Mirador sits on a mountaintop with a nice pool on the edge, overlooking a nice national park. Supposedly one of the five best places to climb in the world, with over 1200 routes in the area. The host arranged a wine tasting at a vinery for me, and the food at Mirador was great. Definitively an excellent experience. I was travelling solo, but this has to be the best place to bring your girlfriend.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view.

“wow” …a word we heard ourselves saying out loud so many times. It is chic little place; the outside is stone and terracotta, indoors completely re-done in peaceful minimalist style that does not distract from the vista. The food is delicious and beautifully prepared, a nice supply of local wines, shaded paths to explore and several outdoor sitting areas will make it difficult to hide in your room. Perfect place to relax and sooth the soul. Escape the creature comforts of the hotel and you walk into a Japanese print. You are eclipsed by the scale and beauty of the surrounding landscape. If you need to take a walk or if it is the chef’s night off, the road to the village is short and picturesque. Our lazy holiday routine consisted of a large late breakfast, afternoon drinks and siesta, walk to town in the evening for some simple food and a bottle of wine to take back, then wine and conversation at midnight under the stars. 3 days in the excitement of Barcelona, then 4 days in the stillness of Siurana was a great balance. We took the train from the Sants Station in Barcelona to Reus train station, when you arrive there are 1-2 cabs to hail (60-70 euro, print out the hotel address/directions in Cataluynan from the hotel web site). From the door of our Barcleona hotel to the door of the Mirador was 3 hours. Worth every minute and penny, for the convenience of not navigating the winding rural roads and the beauty of Siurana!

Room Tip: creaky floors like any charming old house, higher-up rooms may be quieter (lift available)

A rare gem. You will never forget this place. Beautiful. It IS near Tarragona--a stop between Valencia and Barcelona, a short trip from either location. About 20 minutes inland from Tarragona towards Reus and Cordella de Montsant. You will be blown away by the views. A five minute walk to Sirurana (it is weird there is another town in Spain north of Barcelona called Siurana but this is the one south, just west of Tarragona), which you see from the balcony across a chasm of mountains and cliff ridges. You could hanglide off your room balcony for miles and never see another house. A clear destination for local mountainclimbers and young campers, though this hotel is world class luxury, modern ameneties, etc.

Room Tip: The "mas de lextremenyo" room has a private balcony with chairs, a table, and an amazing view.
