Exit 436, right off the Trans-Canada Highway, about an hour east of the Quebec City exit or 2 hours west of Edmunston, NB. We stop here every year on our way from Toronto to NS and we have found it very reliable. Rooms are clean and fairly spacious, and I appreciate that the sink is separate from the shower & toilet room. They accommodate our large dog with parking right outside our patio door. After a long day of driving, we look forward to enjoying one of their fresh-baked gourmet pizzas and a beer, while my son wanders out to see the horses in the pasture nearby. There is also wine & beer in the Esso across the street. The breakfasts are really good, but if you don't have time for table service there is a Tim Horton's and a McDonald's located at the next exit east off the highway.

Room Tip: If you have a baby, ask for a room with a rocker.

Clean, predictable, friendly, bilingual, convenient, and affordable. The perfect distance from Halifax en route to Ontario, and it even has a serviceable restaurant with inexpensive wines. Lots of areas nearby to stretch one's legs and a grocery store is just down the road in the main street section of La Pocatiere. We always stay here on our driving trips west. It is about 30 minutes past Riviere du Loup.

Room Tip: The front section has better wifi reception.

Look it's not the Ritz but they welcome us with our cats on the way to and from Toronto and PEI. They are friendly, speak English and are VERY clean. Having the restaurant attached with good comfort food is a huge plus when you don't want to go far from your pets. We had a great meal (creme brûlée was delicious) and it was very reasonable. The beds were comfortable and the place was quiet. And it's halfway between PEI and Toronto. We will stop every trip. Highly recommend as a pet friendly stop-over. The only thing I'd like improved is that the pet friendly rooms only come with 2 double beds and we would prefer a king or a queen bed but that's no big deal. You can park right outside your room which is great for getting your pet(s) in and out and they had laminate flooring which was nicer than dingy carpeting we've experienced at other pet friendly hotels. Our room had a door to the outside parking lot and also a door to the interior hallway of the hotel which was great to use so we didn't have to worry one of our cats would get loose outside if it tried to run out when we opened the door. The hotel is very conveniently located in that it's right off the highway and it has a rural feel to go for a little walk to stretch your legs after a long drive. We were very happy and thought the rates were quite reasonable.

I was quite please with my stay at Cap Martin. Yes, the rooms are older with not many modification, but they are incredibly clean and comfortable. Not the place to go if you are looking for a posh experience, but if you are looking for an economical, clean family hotel, I recommend Cap Martin.

Their restaurant has many home-made selections. It is a bit pricey but the food is wonderful. The have an impressive wine list. We did have a slight language barrier but our server did her best to accommodate our lack of French vocabulary.

Good place to stay when traveling from Ontario to the Maritimes.

Food is disgusting, cold and greasy, waitresses and waiter are rude and incompetent, we had to wait half an hour for our breakfast, and we were the only customers in the restaurant. Now I know why.
Rooms are cold, the heating system didn't work, we had to change rooms, and the person at the front desk didn't want to!!! He told us that it was gonna ''work soon'' and to be patient. But after an hour, we just told him that it's that or we leave right away. And we finally got a room, where the heater worked.
Rooms are poorly furnished, clean, and that's it.
