“A mini paradise!”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

It was an awesome stay cum honeymoon for me & hubby :) We decided to go Lombok at the very last min and i emailed them regarding the rates and airport transfer as itz 1 and half hour drive. The manager Ms.Fransiska liased with me and made the necessary arrangements. Room was cozy and huge. My villa was on the upper level facing the sea. However the huge tree and the restaurant was kindof distracting. The pool bar is still under construction but it didn't affect us in any way though. We loved the pool and the beach. The beach had black shiny sand and the waves were huge and strong with clear water and lots of pebbles and stones in it. Having our breakfast, lunch or dinner by the restaurant was great with the seaview. There was free flow of tea and cakes frm 4 to 5pm daily at their restaurant. Lazing by the pool on the lounges was all we did during our stay and we simply couldn't take our eyes off the ocean and itz waves. It was a picture postcard scenery. Hubby was disappointed that he couldn't swim in the beach though bt we fully understand that itz for the safety of us. Bt managed to play in it and dip ourselves in it on the 2nd day for awhile. Waking up and sleeping to the sound of the waves of the ocean was the best thing during this trip. Have to take a cab to the town for food at the cafes and shopping at the art museum which is about 10-15mins drive away and cost you roughly Rp30,000. And itz a must to take a cab or rent bike and go up to the malimbu cliff to catch the beautiful sunset, the ocean and the view of the 3 Gili islands. It was sucha beautiful sight. We didn't had the time to go to Gili island but we were very much satisfied at Senggigi itself. But have decided to go back to Lombok again and visit Gili the next time round.
The open shower was another unique experience. But since it was windy throughout day and night, it was quite chilly to shower in the open concept shower. And the only fallback is that the water pressure of the shower and the pipe at the toilet bowl was very slow and not consistent. And the food at the restaurant was quite salty. Other than that, we loved the villa and the guys, i meant the staff were very helpful and friendly. We juz returned yesterday and i really miss Lombok and Living Asia so much and so fast!! Thanks to Fransiska for the honeymoon cake and the deco of the beautiful swans with flowers on our bed. It was a pleasant surprise and so sweet of her and her team! It was truly a paradise....

Room Tip: rooms on the upper level had greater view of the ocean compared to the ones at the bottom. but a oc...

Our stay was wonderful. The resort was very neat, lots of space, the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable, the restaurant and pool were very good. The staff was above the Lombok average.

The only drawback was that there were some construction and renovating on the beach bar and some of the villas, but there was no mess or loud noise. Oh, and maybe the fact it's a bit farr from the Senggigi center (you need a taxi).

Room Tip: don't pay money for sea view, because it's more like "see glance". All villas are...

We stayed a night and was well greeted @ the reception with a refreshing welcome drink. The open lobby has a tranquil feeling. Our garden view room had an outdoor balcony, spacious room but the floor needs a good scrub. But the huge half outdoor toilet wins our heart. The infinity pool faces the beach that views Mt Agung in Bali. Didnt manage to dine @ their restaurant that has live music and bbq as we were full. Perfect for couples and honeymooners.

Unfortunately we only stayed 1 night in this fantastic hotel.
Room: very nicely decorated, very beautiful, clean. The bathroom is superb.
Swimming pool: very nice and large swimming with enough sunbed, with view on the sea. Very relaxing!!! In the afternoon complementary fruitsalad is offered and also tea and snacks.
Restaurant: we had dinner and breakfast: both very nice.
Location: a little bit away from Senggigi but we did not care at all, we relaxed at 200%
Service: very friendlly

If you are to stay anywhere in Lombok you must stay here, the rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious.
The staff are friendly and speak very good English, and are very helpful.
Meals are fresh and fantastic.
Sunset at the pool with Views of the Volcano in Bali make great photos, cocktails are delicious.
Location is convenient to shopping restaurants and attractions.
We will stay here again next time we are in Lombok.

Room Tip: Ocean view rooms are great

Whilst Living Asia is still under construction there are few signs that it isn't finished. You can see that some rooms are just shells and the pool bar/restaurant is still being built but the whole section is curtained off so you can ignore it. We heard no evidence of building in the 2 days we were there.

The resort is absolutely beautiful with perfectly manicured gardens and a very well laid out design. The pool is magnificent - located right next to the restaurant so that pool side service is quick and efficient. Food and drinks were reasonably priced for a resort and the quality was generally very good.

On arrival we were told that our private pool villa was accidentally let to anothr party. We were offered an ocean view room instead right next to the pool and given a complimentary bbq seafood dinner as compensation, along with the offer of transfers if we needed them after eaving Senggigi. This was not too disappointing as the ocean view rooms are brilliant.

Probably the most incredible thing about this place is the gorgeous sunsets. The sun descends behind Agung on Bali creating the most spectacular views you can imagine as you sit by the pool and relax at the end of the day.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were incredibly well presented and the private pool villa (which we got on our second night) was superb - crystal clear water and beautiful atmosphere.

The beds are super big and extremely soft - best sleep ever! The outdoor showers are wonderful and the whole feel of the place is very luxurious. Internet service is excellent and the breakfasts are fresh, varied and top quality.

Location wise it's a bit away from the heart of Senggigi so you can't just walk to other restaurants. The dive centre (DSM Dive) is fantastic and highly recommended.

Note that the beach here is quite dangerous and definitely to be avoided - full of sharp rocks and coral. It is netted off but honestly, it is so difficult to get in and out of the sea without injury you should just stick to the wonderful pool.

Best sunsets we saw in Bali and Lombok - a definite must for those who enjoy lazing around the pool and feasting their eyes on orange horizons.

Room Tip: Go for a Private Pool Villa or an Ocean View Room which is next to the pool and restaurant.
