We had originally planned to stay at another hotel in the area - we'd booked 2 rooms for us and our kids, 13 & 11. Unfortunately the other hotel didn't have rooms together, and wouldn't allow the 4 of us to sleep in one room, so we found The Beach Club purely by accident. Very happy that we did because not only were the rooms much nicer for a comparable cost, but we were all able to share the same bungalow.
The rooms were spotlessly clean, the staff were great, the beach hawkers were friendly - a perfect spot to just swim and relax.
The little touches at this hotel made all the difference: I loved the outdoor bathroom - very tastefully decorated; the DVD player and movies supplied in the room; the flyspray and mossie zappers in the room and bathroom; and especially listening to the ocean from the hammock on our front verandah. Even though the bungalows are relatively close together, the beautiful gardens make it feel like you are the only ones there.
Yes, there is a bit of road noise, but I'm more than happy to put in my earplugs at night and enjoy everything else this "club" has to offer. Highly recommended.

Have a couple of Aussie friends who we meet in Bali who rave about this place. So do many other ex Pats in Kuta Bali. Some live close and drink and dine there. We went and fell under the spell the place weaves. Great scenic set up - just as we had been told. Food was filling served in pleasant conditions. The Bungalows made one wish we were there with some one special of the opposite sex. The bathrooms were a hoot even for us fellows. The pool so refreshing. Staff helpful honest Glen and Dee great hosts. Need so little - toiletries shorts swimmers a couple of shirts a decent hat and time. It just melts away there. Got back grateful to our Aussie friends and let them know. They are back this year with other mates they have enthused. This is like moving into a movie set with your own script! Staff organised a great round the island tour that we will never forget. Saw native village, weaver of a special class, lunch at a huge Hotel at the top of the Island visited Mataram dinner at a mud crab special place ~Sensational. Home to cheerful bar staff nothing was a trouble - what more could a blokes want - up market native huts - the sound of the waves crashing - we all hated to leave.

Wow what a fantastic week spent at the Beach Club. The owners Dee and Glenn have put a lot of thought into all the little extras. They mentioned that they made a point of spending a night in each units to ensure that everything was up to scratch and it did make a difference. The staff really enjoy there work there as they were so polite and friendly , the happiness was so warming. The rooms are not 5 star and i wouldn`t want that, they are beach bungalows very tastefully decorated to suit the position and the feel of Lombok.

I totally agree with the other reviewers, this is a very nice hotel, right at the beach, which is very quiet and very nice. The bar is amazing, food is good, the staff is really really nice. Nice garden, nice bungalows, nice outdoor bathroom.
There is only one problem: the hotel is located right next to a big road, full of traffic from 6am to midnight. As the bungalows are made of some kind of wood (bamboo, maybe), the walls are very thin, so you hear every motorbike as if it was just next to you. This means you basically cant get sleep until midnight and wake up around 5-6 pm.
Your only chance is to get bungalow n.1 which is the farest from the road and the nearst to the beach.
Apart from the noise, it really is a nice hotel, we loved it!
Another small inconvenience: it is a midrange hotel, not cheap, and if you want to have american breakfast (eggs), you have to pay extra, so for me, compared to other hotels in the same price range, the breakfast was quite disappointing.

We are very sorry you did not get a good nights sleep at The Beach Club and have since put a 4 metre high wall between the bungalows and the road for greater guest comfort and less traffic noise.

I have been to Indonesia before - specifically to Bali. I liked Bali but it is very crowded. When we decided to take another vacation we went to Lombok, the island directly east of Bali. It truly is a "hidden gem" - very similar to Bali but without all of the crowds and activity. We did a lot of research on hotels and resorts ... The Beach Club appeared to be a great value and it was!

The Beach Club has a series of 6 beach front bungalows located on the shores of Batu Bolong beach at the entrance to Senggigi. The Bunglows are aboslutely fabulous - beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, with beautiful ocean views. The Bungalows are nestled around a wonderful salt water in-ground pool in a lush, green, amazing garden full of exotic trees, plants and flowers.

The staff and bar/cafe are excellent. It is a very safe, quiet and relaxing environment that is within walking distance of several restaurants (located right next door on both sides) as well as to a small convenience store/grocery market and money changer. We spent 10 days there and never needed a car to do anything except for a one day tour of the island.

For me, this was exactly my vision of a beach front bungalow in a tropical paradise. The beach was never crowded and we can't wait to go back.

Thanks so much to Glen, Dee and staff. You truly do have a hidden gem!

After many months deciding where to spend our precious 2 weeks break from the daily grind, we finally opted for a little island recommended to us by friends...LOMBOK! Not knowing what to expect we decided to do some research on where we should stay. We knew exactly what we wanted, a home away from home with all the luxury feel of tropical surroundings. So after stumbling across The Beach Club website we couldn't believe our luck...this place is perfect we said to each other dreamily....and it didn't disappoint!!
As we arrived at the bar we were greeted by the friendly staff who took our bags to our room and offered us an ice cold beer. After finishing a few more, we decided to explore our new surroundings. Our beach front bungalow, set in beautiful gardens was fully equipped with everything you need to make your stay a comfortable one....we even found a couple of Tim Tams in the fridge....nice touch we thought....it didn't end there!

The bathroom is beautifully decorated with local crafts and the comfy, clean bed was extremely inviting….but the bathroom is the main attraction…. showering in the open air with the sound of the waves is an experience in itself!!

In the morning we awoke to a breath-taking sunrise followed by hearty full English cooked to perfection. We spent the rest of our days exploring, reading in our hammock and taking romantic strolls along the beach.....PERFECT!!
We will defiantly be returning to the beach club next time we need a dose of pure relaxation!
