I stayed here for a decent stretch recently with family and friends. It was relaxing and the place is well set up for a great holiday. It is in a good location in Senggigi and the rooms are nice. The pool area is very pleasant indeed and secluded. It has a relaxed and cool vibe. The travellers' rooms are value for money- but they do need a REALLY good clean. HOWEVER, 'Beach Club' now has a hotel on the Gilli Air and I had the feeling the owner had sent his best management there. I felt the staff lacked managerial direction and were getting a bit sloppy. It may not be in their ethos to offer welcome drinks or give advice about the area like more standard resorts but they could do some of the basics better (as well meaning as they are). For example- VARY the music according to the time of day; come to an arrangement with the beach hawkers who should not be allowed to encroach as much as they do into the hotel; put on Christmas or New Year's Specials or bring everyone together for a meal (also bring all the elements of the inclusive breakfast, rather than trying to get away with bringing less).
