This hotel takes a while to find - you need to find the school, then go past their football field, turn immediately left and drive down the short lane to the Hotel.
It is built around a converted water-mill which is still working and generates electricity for the hotel.. The conversion was only completed in October 2013 so everything is still new - apart from the attention of David and his wife, who look after you very well indeed.
We had room 105 which was on the fist floor, overlooking fields under cultivation - you really feel you are in the heart of the country.
The food was freshly cooked and excellent quality. We needed an early start for breakfast (normally served from 8.30am) and this was arranged with no problem.
Their rates are very reasonable - we paid 35 euros for bed and breakfast and just 10 euros each for a 3 course dinner. Excellent value!
