We (dad, mum and three kids aged 5-10) went to Vegera planning to have a light lunch in the early afternoon. We found a table and sat down. The older lady in charge was busy with other tables and we were in no rush and played cards. When she arrived at our table, instead of the menus we expected we were brought water wine, water, bread, four large main dishes (moussaka, pork and peas, meatballs, ... ), followed by chocolate cake. She spoke no English, we spoke no Greek. We paid the 40 Euros (8 Euros each, but maybe the children were less and adults more? - I have no idea as the bill was a tiny scrap of paper with "40" on it) and left, delighted by the pleasant service and feeling rather full. The whole place (including the toilets) was clean and inviting. Our advice: great place for a great meal if you'd like the best of Cretan cuisine but have no interest in making any particular selection form the menu.
