Stayed here for three night last week and couldn't have received a more friendly welcome. The owner doesn't speak much English but luckily his son was visiting and we could converse with him There was a large secure garage to park our car and the room was beautifully clean with loads of storage, a huge bathroom and lovely balcony. As it was late afternoon we decided to have a swim but were desperate for a coffee and asked if it was possible to purchase one. We were told this was fine and would be added to our bill (about 3 euros) after about 10 minutes a fresh pot of coffee and 2 huge pieces of chocolate cake arrived! They let us put our wine and beer in the fridge and when we asked for it were given olives and crisps as an extra.
Breakfast was an experience! cakes, pastries and even a little tub of ice cream. This was so thoughtful but I don't have a sweet tooth and struggled to eat it. The following day we came down to a pink and blue doughnut with our names engraved on them! I did eat some of it but told the owner I only wanted toast he seemed a bit surprised by my request but I think he began to understand us as the next morning we got mainly savoury food. I am not complaining at all, I just felt so...Stayed here for three night last week and couldn't have received a more friendly welcome. Our room and the bedding was cleaned every day, which I didn't expect.
The villa and pool are set in the hills around Cabrils and if you want to see a different side to Spain (rather than the Costas) this is a good area to explore. Very Spanish town but beautiful food in many restaurants are a short car ride away.
We visited Sant Pol de Mar which was a typically Spanish seaside town, very pretty and also Sitges, again lovely. The area around the villa was more residential and quite industrial but it was nice to experience the real Spain.
The couple who own this villa do a fantastic job, work really hard and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable always with a smile on their faces. They really are two very special people who will welcome you with open arms.More
