Came upon this restaurant by chance on holiday in Menorca while wandering about. Lovely setting on tiny beach. Very friendly attentive service and lovely food. I had seafood pasta. clams, mussels and big prawns. Very tasty. Reasonable prices.

If you find yourself in Menorca and don't eat here then you've wasted your visit. It is a relaxed eating environment that offers food to suit all tastes, with daily specials that are delicious. We discovered it by accident on a walk along the coast from our holiday villa in Arenal d'en Castell, and we were hooked. The staff are laid back and made the whole dining experience relaxed and enjoyable, and when the food arrived it was very stylishly presented and tasted as good as it looked. The restaurant is located in a little fishing village surround by pin perfect white houses just perfect !

This area of Menorca is not well endowed with restaurants, (we stayed in Addaia) most are the usual tourist fare so it was a delight to find Biosphera in Na Macaret, close by and certainly closer than the (good) restaurants in Fornells.
In 10 days we ate there 3 times which allows for a fair judgement, that covered the range from pizza to steak to seafood. All were very good at a fair price and still casual outdoor dining. They have a proper pizza oven so proper Italian thin and crispy pizza is available after 7.30 if not in the mood for the meat and fish menus. Highly Recommended.

When touring the island we discovered this restaurant in 2008. Just as good on this latest visit. Well worth a try if you are in the area.

We ate in Biosphera whilst on holiday in nearby Coves Noves. We were desperate for a break from the All Inclusive but needed a quick bite during a whistle stop visit (by Thomas Train) to Macaret.

The restaurant was empty when we arrived at 6:30 and the waitress seemed in no hurry to serve us which was a little off putting.

We considered the Tourist set menu but as we only had an hour until the train returned I didn't think we would manage 5 courses!

We both chose simple Italian dishes (spaghetti bolognaise and Lasagne) and ordered 2 sides of bread, one with Alioli and another with fresh tomato and olive oil.

The bread arrived first and was well presented with a drizzle of oil and a sprinkling of black sea salt (the waitress informed me later that the salt originated from the Himalayas). I am a big fan of italian bruschetta but this was by far the most delicious bread I've ever tasted! We both received 2 great big thick slices of crusty ciabatta topped with the tomato and spread thickly with the most yummy Alioli. A great start....

The restaurant began filling up by the time our mains arrived and the lone Waitress' now moved round at speed to serve everyone.

Our main courses were just as wonderful, simple but tasty. The lasagne was huge and most definitely homemade. The tagliatelle pasta on my bolognaise came with just the right amount of sauce and topped with fresh Parmesan.

We just had a few minutes to spare before the Thomas train came trundling down the hill, I wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy a leisurely meal and drinks watching the sunset over Macaret harbour but as it was our last evening in Minorca and accompined by our sleeping baby we were on limited time.

I would most definitely recommend this restaurant and very much hope I get to visit again one day.
