Really friendly staff who, when I arrived on my own got me involved and integrated into a group of divers.
The food is excellent and the accommodation superb for the price.
The biggest advantage of this resort is its location. One of the best dives sites in Anilau is Twin Rocks. Every other dive centre will charge you a boat dive for the privilege of diving here where as due to it being the house reef, you can grab a buddy, a cylinder and dive on this amazing site. The Jacks are still there despite other comments and the life is awesome. Accidentally headbutted a turtle whilst diving here. Fantastic. Fin, Noggin!

Room Tip: Go for the fan only or the dorm room. Due to its location it is much cooler than Manila and AC is no...

Planet dive is very well known for its house reef! true
but i'd rather do a boat dive from other resort to their dive site
service from DM was good from boat men was ok
but from the resort staff- very poor - slowest among others that i've been to along mabini anilao
food was ok - 500php per buffet meal - like for kids meal- spag, bbq, lumpia, were served
we arrived at the resort nobody was there to welcome us
we had to go all the way down good 90 seconds to 120seconds to the reception and there were two moody ladies at the reception
dive were great - good thing for foreigners they give more importance to foreigners than locals
then upon billing out the receptionist were still very modfy even at night
and you'll get a fell that they are relly not happy with their job
i even suggested to try to smile it might lighten their they up
rooms were overpriced
great place for dive - but as ive said id rather take a boat dive
for the staffs - they had to be asked really asked for someone to carry your gears up or down
didn't like my stay here at all
i got tired from the unfriendly restaurant staffs, receptionists
as much as i wanted to ignore the bad vibes they are giving us it was hard to be happy around them if you know what i mean

Diving's excellent with Twin Rocks just a shore dive away! Pre-dive briefings are pretty thorough and the dive masters are pros. Safety is always a priority even in challenge dives. Even the dive guides are reliable and can spot critters in their favorite spots. Food is good, with seafood and saturday turon (banana fritters). Fresh fruits and standard salad/veggie dishes wd be a plus. Rooms are clean, some larger than others, and with hot water showers. No swimming pool. Kids can snorkel and learn about marine life and preservation early. Resort is a great supporter of conservation efforts, keeping things simple for the next generations to enjoy.

Room Tip: For the views, peace and quiet, and if you enjoy the up/downhill workout, choose an upper villa. Oth...

I spent 6 days in the resort. Its for divers ONLY and that was the purpose of my stay. In terms of diving, the resort is built over a natural reef which extends from 3m down to 40 - 50m with abundance of sea life. There is a resident turtle there which we encountered several times. the resort offered unlimited free dives in their house reef! All you need to do is put your gear on and walk a couple of meters and straight into the water. The reef is amazing and divable over and over. I loved it...
The dive center was fully equiped. More than what a diver needs...
In terms of diving organization and planning, I was a bit disappointed. Anilao being one of the best diving areas in Phils, the resort didnt have a map for its dive sites. Divers pairing and buddying which is an essential part was not performed prior the dives. Divermaster was not very well aware of the currents in the area. To be more precise, we did a dive in Beatrice Rock and in the middle of the dive the current started picking up till we couldnt handle it anymore and had to let go and drift away from the dive site. They had offers and discounts for multidivers but this created confusion among the dive groups. Especially me being a solo traveller, I had to be invited by different groups to join them and that will reduce the diving cost per diver. Its awkward and part of poor organization.
Food was if I can say; terrible. I do however appreciate the hospitality of the cook and kitchen staff who tried to accomodate me the best they could. There is no menu. There is a buffet and its all deep fried food with no salad at all. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. I understand that this place is not made for people to come in and enjoy lunch; its for divers only but nevertheless there is huge room for improvement.
The room was fantastic. Very wide and cozy. no comments here...
In general the staff was very accomodatiing and helpful.
I met alot of divers who are regular customers to this place. I give all the credit to the diving facilities. Diver safety and quality of food where my main concerns.

This is the place for divers. Excellent house reef with many macro life, school of Jacks, giant lobsters, mini wrecks, giant clamps and beautiful underwater garden with colorful corals. You can also spot octopus at times, especially during the night dives. The surrounding dive sites are equally beautiful, challenging and fun. Diving at the active underwater volcano site was fun, with bubbling from the warm sea bed. Remember to bring your UW camera.

It was my first time diving in philippine and planet dive has definitely made it a very memorable one. Its a divers heaven here! twin rocks which is accessible from the shore of planet dive is one of the top dive site in philippine. Be sure to check out the giant clam which is probably about 1 to 1.5 meters big, and not forgetting the school of jacks. The unlimited shore dives was definitely one of the best any diver can ask for. What a good dive without a good dive master that can point out so many macro life. Dived with Alfie, he has an eagle eye when it comes to spotting macro life. Boat service was excellent as well. Besides the diving the food and accommodation is also really good. Love the banana dessert dish that they serve on certain days.

Here's a short highlight video on the dive trip http://youtu.be/xndAUv1M7QU

Room Tip: Vila 1 has a nice outdoor toilet that I enjoyed

Visited in mid-Jan 2013 for 4 nights. The place is about 3 hours drive from Nina Aquino International Airport (Manila) which the resort arranged so we just slept through.

- Room: we got a room in a villa which was adequately spacious for 4 and with air-conditioning. There was warm water although the water pressure was low. There wasn't any in-room WIFI but WIFI was available at the dining area so we headed there in the evenings to chill-out.

- Service and meals: there was no housekeeping but the staff there were really warm and friendly. We had 3 buffet meals everyday and I must say in my opinion it's 5 stars for the variety and authenticity of the meals. The chef whipped up Filipino home-cooked meals and we loved the banana wraps and mango float desserts! they were even kind enough to make them specially for us when we requested so that's awesome.

The boat men were also extremely efficient in getting our dive gear ready between dives so that's a breeze too. As it was chilly, they were every ready to serve us dry towels and hot tea between dives which was quite a surprise.

- Diving was just in the backyard with unlimited shore dives at Twin Rocks, which is a popular site for locals. Most other dive sites were within 15 minutes boat ride. The marine life was very diverse (mostly the small stuff) so it was quite rewarding, especially for underwater photographers.
