“A real treat!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 9, 2013

We stayed for the bank holiday weekend and were not expecting the treat that was The Grange! welcomed by Mel (and Millie) with warmth adn a tray of tea and home made cake. the room (at the back) was amazing, large, airy, light, beautifully decorated with an cosy en-suite shower room. I made use of the lovely garden, while himself was cycling in the Dalby Forest. The village is lovely too, very friendly. We are definatley planning a return visit. Many thanks Mel and Tony for a treat of a weekend, The Grange just made it extra special.

Room Tip: Number 5 at the back was peaceful and overlooked the courtyard seating area (not much a of view - bu...

We have just returned from an amazing 3 night stay over the Bank Holiday weekend. This guest house is perfect, beautifully decorated and appointed. We were greeted firstly by Milly the flat coated retriever when we entered the garden who gave us a very enthusiastic welcome and then by Melanie who, after showing us to our room, provided us with a very welcome combination of tea and cake. The b & b is perfectly located for a short stroll into the village and that evening we ate in The Buck where the food is hot, tasty and very reasonably priced. Sadly they don't serve food on a Sunday evening. Breakfasts are lovely with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals and either any combination from a full English or Melanie's daily alternative. Sunday mornings scrambled egg and smoked salmon with granary toast was absolutely gorgeous. Melanie and Tony are great hosts. This guest house is in a lovely village with great walks from the doorstep but also within striking distance of the coast. The fact that the weather was absolutely glorious was just the icing on the cake. If you're in this area don't stay anywhere else!

Room Tip: We had room 2 at the front of the house. This faces a busy road but did not cause any problems at ni...

Just returned after spending three wonderful days with four other friends at The Grange. This guest house is most certainly 5 star. It is clean, warm, cosy and the front lounge fire is magnificent. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom because my wife has a plastered foot and it was so convenient to use. The hosts, Tony and Melanie are just wonderful. They are so friendly, accommodating, helpful with lovely warm dispositions. We shall certainly be returning in the future. This really is a home from home. Thank you Tony and Melanie.

Room Tip: I can only say that three days is not enough to stay. A week would be heaven especially with the we...

I have stayed at a lot of guest houses around the UK and The Grange is comfortably the best. Tony and Melanie were great hosts, genuinely warm and welcoming. Our little jack russell Buddy looked really content relaxing in front of the fire after having his legs walked off! Perfect.

This is the second time we have stayed at The Grange. Tony and Mel are the absolute perfect hosts. From the minute you arrive to your day of departure they look after you as if it's a five star hotel. Lovely touches with tea, coffee or wine and cake on arrival to all the beautiful decorated rooms with high quality furniture and fittings. You could not find any faults with The Grange it is immaculate. The Grange is in a very beautiful village with two hotels you can have meals in. We ate in the Stags Head with very reasonable priced meals. It's a little walk too get to it but well worth the walk. We will be coming back again. Carol, Brian, Ann and Joe.
