Our first visit and welcomed as if we were regulars. Nothing rushed, time taken over ensuring our visit was memorable.
The food was sublime, two cheese soufle to die for, haddock gratin superb, pork stuffed with prunes and wednesleydale cheese was amazing. Three of us left having experienced a wonderful meal in delightful surroundings. Can't wait to visit again

Went there on the spur of the moment for a rare meal out for 2 whilst away on holiday with our baby son and both Grandma's! From our arrival receiving very generous wine samples, whilst we made our selection - through to the service and all 3 courses of our meal, we could not fault it. The food was absolutely lovely, the portion sizes were very generous and the homemade icecream was to die for!! The fudge and brandysnaps which came with the coffee were a welcome treat! A lovley meal and reasonably priced - we would definitely recommend.

Charming restaurant in the middle of Thornton Le Dale run by Adam and Claire. This was our fifth visit and the food was as good as ever. Attentive service from Adam coupled with delicious food makes this place worth visiting.

Tried this bistro on the spur of the moment. Relaxed atmosphere and menu that had plenty of variety - all good and appetising. The wine and beer (real ale in bottles) were very good and the service was quick but not too pushy, which is how we like it. We both tried the salmon samoza for starters and it was packed with flavour - Adam even went to check what the recipe was for us when we asked. The mains were duck, which had an excellent crispy skin and chicken breast with a masala sauce. Veg sides of Dauphenaise Potatoes and leeks were delicious too. We cleared our plates and will definitely be going back.

We have eaten in this restaurant every year while on holiday in this area for the past 5 years and have never been disappointed. Food and service are always perfect. One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in. If you are in the area it is a MUST visit restaurant. I hope I will be back for many years to come. Highlight of my holiday.
