The place is terrible.the beddings in a public hospital are better than what they will provide for u.the food is terrible cause u came there and paid for foods that u dont usually eat at home, was expecting a picnic style menu by the beach..their restaurant is so dim and hot..as f u are nt at a resort..zip line is just a piece of wire at a very short distance..beach is muddy except when u pack and go to their white beach which is better and the only thing i liked..but other resorts offer that same beach without living their resort..tsk our stay wd dem made us feel we had been goofed by their internet website..what a waste of money and time!

Laiya Coco Grove was our chosen venue for our annual summer outing, every staff is very accommodating, they all have a ready smile for each and everyone of us, Their welcome greeting is superb, the food is great and they all fed us to the fullest, but the most important thing was that, when we reserved for only one vegetarian, and ended up having 8 vegetarian but then they managed to feed them all. We had fun playing all different types of game and the staffs are very accomodating... Thank you very much and we hope to visit you soon....Lots of smiles for everyone....

It is our first time to be in Laiya Coco Grove, I find the place to be quiet and peaceful which is very important. We stayed in their treehouse which is also different from the other resort. The quality of the treehouse needs a lot of improvement. The toilet is clean but has stains already that makes it look dirty. There is no intercom if you want to ask about something you will have to go to front desk. The restaurant is only open during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Snacks are on per order but nothing special on the menu. The food is fairly decent although for a place that is near shoreline they were not fond of serving seafoods. I would think that would be their specialty such grilled pusit, crabs and other fish. The lechon is good though. The beach is murky not really that nice but we hired a boat to bring us to an island where it was fantastic!! clear water, snorkeling was to die for because of the beautiful coral. My daughter loved the trampoline and the swimming pool. Will I go back? I just might!

Room Tip: If you want something different and beside the beach choose the treehouse it is different and spacio...

We have been to Laiya several times but most resorts we have not tried yet were already fully-booked, then we found Laiya Coco Grove in the internet and we were able to get a reservation with some few adjustments with our preferred dates.

The resort was easily accessible by public transportation. We just followed the directions on their website and we did not encounter any problem.

While the resort claimed that they are fully-booked, we did not feel that the resort was over-crowded maybe because the resort occupies vast area in the Laiya beach and they even have an extension resort in the white beach since, they say, the water in the main beach may be muddy during low tide. Free shuttle ride was readily available to bring guests back and forth. Also, we noted that the cottages were of good distance from each other, so you'll get to enjoy privacy and some really quiet time unlike other nearby resorts. The beach area is generally clean.

The resort includes full-board meals in their package but there's nothing spectacular with the food they offer (actually needs more variety) and even disappointing that there's nothing kid-friendly on their buffet table (with regular three dishes being served per meal) not even for breakfast like cereals or pancakes or eggs and the resort management should not limit/expect a child to drink iced tea or coffee in the morning. The highlight perhaps is the tasty Lechon served at dinner.

We stayed in one of their attractive tree houses. The room was clean but it showed signs of age and needs renovation. The aircon was old too and was already making so much noise, good thing we're tired from swimming  that we managed to sleep despite the noise.

The resort offers side activities like island tour, kayaking, snorkelling, zip lining, horse-back riding and massage. Unfortunately, when we wanted to try the zip line, the operator was still not on site at 9am; when we asked for the horse-back riding, it took almost an hour before the horse arrived as it was (sub-leased) from another resort; they say it would be the same waiting time for the massage as the therapist would also be coming from another resort. Luckily, their available trampolines saved the day. It was functional and very fun to use for both the young and adult.

The accommodating and helpful resort employees filled in the inadequacies of the resort. The resort has so much potential and it needs immediate improvement.

Suggestions:
1. Offer a la carte menu / fruit shakes so guests who are willing to pay extra could have food option; include child-friendly entrees.
2. Install ceiling fans and additional lights in your receiving and dining hall; clean and maintain the facilities in your public restroom particularly in the main beach dining hall and white beach hall -  flush and door locks are not working, a bit dirty too.
3. At night time, add enough lighting in the walkways to cottages and along beachfront.
4. Invest in facilities/side activities that are readily available.
5.Put to use the mini bar in the Terrace; offer cold beverages, fruit shakes and light snacks.

We went here to have our company outing. The place was huge and we found it inconvenient because our activity area and the cottages are far. The food was alright, nothing special at all. We stayed in the poolside cottage. The room was clean and also the bathroom. The water was also okay but it has a smell of it. It's like we didn't take our shower at all. The part of the resort with the cottages was also huge and clean. There were also tree houses as accommodations. The canteen doesn't have any ceiling fans and due to the very hot temperature right now, we found it very inconvenient. The swimming pool is small and it's built like a basin. However, the water is warm which is also inconvenient due to the hot temperature right now.

Overall, we didn't have fun that much staying in the resort. They would have to improve more to compete with other resorts in the area.

Room Tip: The poolside cottages are alright.

At first glance i got excited it was truly amazing place, the ambiance was relaxing with a breath taking views. Warmest people i ever experienced in my many stay in Laiya, Batangas. At first i really enjoyed everything on the resort but what dissapoint me and ruin my day was the beach, the muddy water and it's like walking in a dirty flood of waters. The beach is what i came for and not a pool and if you got the best amenities with bad coastline this simply i can say i will never come back to this place.

Just got here this weekend. Due to late reservations and quick planning we never expected that we will have a hard time to look for rooms for an overnight stay but luckily Laiya Coco Grove has an available villa for us.

Laiya Coco grove is one of the first resort that you will see if youre going to Laiya. if you want to have a quiet and relaxing place this is the best place you wanted to be. Yes it is because this place is not that close on the overcrowded resort around the place.

First the rooms. We got the bahay kubo that can accomodate 10persons. we are only 7 so this villa looks large for us but comfty. this room actually have 4AC so youll never complained for the hot temp of batangas.

Next is the beach and pool. We had a lot of fun swimming in the pool due to its warm water and nice flooring(granite tiles) that they used for the floors. Also on the beach but only on the first 5meters due to it became muddy when you get farther. But you can request to go to the extension which has better beach. the resort has free transport to the extension resort of laiya coco grove.

The food. I think this is the best part. buffet meals and good food. for dinner we had fun eating lechon. good food are served all the time. we had our stomachs full everytime we ate. i think they have good chefs cooking for us.

staffs are very accomodating. they actually provided us the things that we need also they provide us ride to the pit stop where you can buy things and pasalubongs. the only thing is they dont have phones available on the room so everytime that you wanted something you need to go to the reception area but all in all its one hell of an experience..
