Having discovered this restaurant a couple of years ago its now become our favourite .. Great fresh food and local wines at reasonable prices all served up with lots of smiles from husband and wife owners Gabrielle & Luciano . The mixed antipasto Vino &Cucina has to be tried.... But make sure you are hungry!

Wow, what an amazing experience. So much traditional Italian variety, made fresh by the chef/waitress/owner and friendly host. Beautiful wine, appertif, digestives and dolce, all at an amazingly affordable price. Wonderful! Highly recommended by our beautiful B&B hosts at La Ciminiera, Staffolo.

The restaurant is pretty new and pretty pleasant and welcoming, and so are the owners, and indeed the service is good. Portions are pretty robust but the food itself is so-so. I had a starter of cheese and ham which was OK but nothing special and a main course of lamb which was definitely too dry and I didn't finish it. Certainly made the day before and not well stored. The produce their pasta, apparently, but I didn't try. Prices are honest.

Attracted by the simple but good taste look of the osteria, decided to stop for a solo dinner while in the region. The menu offers a broad selection of local delicacies from antipasti (with vegetarian choices), primi (ask for the home made pasta selections), main courses (the wooden oven roasted piglet was absolutely fantastic), side dishes and desserts. Good selection of wines of selected Staffolo producers at good prices. Portions are huge (do not hesitate to ask for half portions or share to indulge in choices and discoveries) and ingredients' quality high . The hosts are enthusiastic and not shy of recommendations or suggestions if you want them. A real surprise in a region where quality of food is generally good but really good places are rare.
