If you want to be close to the nature, Eco Villa is one of them. I had been there and stayed in Room no 101 & 102 ( the best among the lot). One should try for the same cottage which has direct sea facing and one can spend the entire day sitting on the balcony of the cottage.
The roaring of the waves and the unending wind takes one closer to the nature.
The resort has good food quality and proper house keeping facilities.
Nice time spent with my friends !!

The Resort has got good rooms (non AC, coz it's Eco-environmental), Sea facing and with a ethnic theme. The bathroom has got shells on it's wall and looks good, i liked the ambiance of the room.

Now, coming to the sea part of it, as my title mentions, the resort is very close to the sea and not elevated from the beach as other nearby hotels are, infact at night i was little worried that , if it rains a lot then with the high tide the water may enter the resort (it does not).

The fencing of the hotel is made with bamboo sticks and looks like anybody could get into the resort by-passing it, though there's a security guard to keep a watch day n night.

The food served here is good and it's good to have it in the room, the restaurant does not have a very good ambiance.Try Chinese, it's awesome.

There are food stalls nearby, so in case you want to try outside food you can do that as well.

Room Tip: Choose the front cottage, it's full sea facing, the other cottages behind are also sea facing bu...

We were a family of 8 members who visited mandarmoni for a weekend. We had done prior booking and made sure we get the front villa which directly opens to the sea view. The villa had 2 rooms which was big enough to accomodate us all. The staff is very friendly and will help you in whichever way they can. When we came back from beach, our room and wahrooms got full of sand due to our clothes n slippers. However, when we asked the staff to get it cleaned they did it without any fuss. Really appreciated !! Food was decent enough and pretty reasonable too.
We had heard Rose Valley is the place to stay in Mandarmoni, but not only is it expensive but also not well maintained. We had gone there to get a look of it and were thankful that we decided not to stay there. The place has open area where garbage is dumped, water bodies, fountains were all broken and below standard. The staff there were rude and arrogant. They just have the brand name.
I would suggest if at all you wanna enjoy the nature's beauty in its truest form, Eco Villa is a must stay place, you will actually feel serene staying there and it will be a perfect change from the busy lives we stay in.

Room Tip: Do prior booking and make sure you get either Villa 1 or Villa 7. Rest all don't have that good...

We had been to Mandarmani at stayed at Eco Villa Resort during Durga Puja 2011. The concept of cottage with lot of open space scores over other hotels and resorts in the area. Eco Villa has made laudable effort in maintaining and preserving nature as it is. On a full moon evening, we sat on chairs just in front of the campus and slowly the high tide water of the sea started kissing and washing our legs. It was a memorable experience

Room Tip: Choose the front cottage facing the sea

Very nice resort. Right on the beach. Excellent cottage accommodation. Staffs are very friendly & prompt to service timings. The view is excellent & during high tides the waves come upto the resort gate.
Cleanliness of the resort is good. Rooms/cottages is not connected through intercom. Food quality is good.
Overall a good resort to stay for a wonderful trip.

We pre booked it and got one of the best rooms with a sea facing view. All thier rooms are non AC, and couple of the cottages are very close to the beach. Rooms are clean and well maintained and the staff is friendly. For food it is advisable to consider the shops along the beach, there are plenty of options available.

Room Tip: Try to re book and make sure u ask for the ones right near the entrance.

We stayed during Puja vacation.Except room no 1-2, others are not exactly sea facing although it was sold as sea facing at the time of booking.Room service is okay although they do not have intercom so you have to call through mobile phone, every time you need service.
Food is a little expensive and quality of cooking is not excellent(Although cooked fresh). We encountered some insects during night so windows had to be kept closed(No a/c).They charged
1500 per room during full season(Oct'11).Rooms are a bit hot.Overall , it was just okay kind of experience.
We faced problem one day to return back to hotel after a trip to nearby Tajpur. The beach was full of mud and some vehicles got stuck.Locals were charging upto 5000rs to help dig out vehicle .It happens just after full tide.We had to wait half and hour and then take
a local motorised van to reach hotel. So, if you are taking your own car , be cautious when driving on the beach.

Room Tip: no.1 & 2
